has it been announced yet? when do they usually say?
i cant afford to go to the event but i would sign up for it just for the item, id hate to miss out on something good like that lamp that gives you full heal they gave out a few years ago

It's usually announced pretty close to the actual event. Last year I think I booked about 2 months out and we didnt know what the item was at that time.
if your talking about the Noble Dojorns lamp it is a random once a day Full Heal / Full mana / or 30 min experience bonus ..
I always get the exp bonus during raids ... and the full heal during grouping before hitting lesson
What was it for last year? I can't figure out if it ever got put on my account or not, heh. This year, signed up under EQ. Looking forward to going again.

It's not full heal. I think it's 10k and can crit. Mana it's like a 5k recovery.

Do you have to buy the all access pass for the goodies? or will a one day pass be enough? Last year we bought the all access pass, but with money problems this year, I don't think we can afford it
One day should be fine. At least 2 years ago it worked.
Thanks for the reply. Of course with the flu thing happening, the airlines and hotels just might lower their rates, and we might be able to actually to make it for all 3 days. We really want to go again this year!

I remember reading those who attended the fan faire last year were also given the upcoming expansion for free, is this still the case?
Last year you also got the wrulon mount you could claim in LoN, but it was locked to the account. It would be nice to know what the item is before you registrer with an account. Especially if you got more then 1 account.

I heard that EQ ingame item will be a shield is that true? if so do anyone got a screenshot?

I do not understand the impatience... What is, is... There have been years where we knew there would be a reward, but not what it was until after Fan Faire.
Some things promised have never happened correctly, either. Though my server has always been strongly represented, the Book in the PoK library, which is supposed to contain the names of all attendees, has never listed any from our server (including me, and I have attended more than a couple...).

For the past few Fan Faires, the items have been pretty useless. I kinda wish they'd give us something actually useful, then people will actually want to attend because of it.
The last truly useful item I got was http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/...tml?item=48661, and it's more kitchy than useful.
the eq2 statue has staus reduction 1000. now i dont know anything about that, but i do know that the LoN items have status reduction 300 on them. So it appears to me that the eq2 item is actually something useful. it is eq's 10th, so I would think we would get something actually kinda neat, not just something that advertised we went to ff. hoping it has a clicky like exp boost once a day. an ornament would leave out too many people who's mains do not use shields. Seriously would like to know more bout it. I didnt see anything on ff site. sad that eq 2 knowsmore about what we get than we do.
Vanguard gets a flying mount. That's pretty useful actually.

Has to do with housing, you can get upkeep cost on house in gold, status, or a combination of the two. With enough stutus rent reduction furniture, rent can be free. You earn status by doing special repeatable quests for your home city.

I was going to puy a pass for in game rewards for the first time, glad i held out till i knew what it was heh. last year there was a mount through LoN, this year it is total crap. plus it is a mold, so guess what happens if you upgrade your shield... it goes bye bye.

Wow, I'm not sure you could pay me to equip that thing unless it was an insta-clickie 100k dmg nuke reusable every 5 seconds.
Would have to be at least instant 5 aa usable once per min for me to equip something that ugly.

EDIT ADD: To be equally insulting, perhaps SOE should ensure that the Flying Mounts granted to Vanguard should have LoN logos on the side and the EQ2 item should have Marketplace advertising.

the lon item is an actual physical booster pack this year. i think that is neat too, but those are only in the goodie bags and you have to actually go to vegas for them. I would actually be interested in that as kinda a neat thing, but i dont see how you are going to be trading for them. not to mention, the stuff is always no drop.
