Actually I believe the Dev comments were more akin to "We'll try to have them ready for the June patch but don't hold us to it." So more likely the July patch, and be plesantly surprised if we get it in the June patch.

Besides, with Sklug's new memory changes just gone live on Test, I'm wondering if there will even be a June patch. Those seem like pretty major changes to only percolate for a couple weeks.

The rewards will not be in the June 10th patch, unfortunately.  They're not currently ready and today was the last day to begin QA for changes in next week's patch.

Maybe we could get an inkling of what the reward will be for dragons x 3 raid time to tide us over?

I've probably missed it but, is the delay that for the script to determine who gets what reward or is it simply that the augs haven't been decided on?

Thanks for update ... even though the message suketh SMILEY

good god. so they werent even ready at the beginning. I hope to god they get you guys some more help becuase answers liek this are starting to become the rule instead of the exception. This should haev already been ready before the events started i the first lpace! I mean the rewards are the same as last year for msot of them arent they?

it really stinks when I get almost as much stress from a game as I do from work. We worked our butts off for these events and it seems like someoen ( not blaming aristo direclty because I dont know whos in charge of this stuff) is not doing a very good job at all.

the sad part is I am not surprised in the least. it's almost liek i jsut needed to see it in writign before I would lsiten to my own brain.

Thanks for the update.  Now that you have a bit more time you guys can adjust the scores that used the double kill method on I.R.A's and adjust them accordingly.

We've explained how they work already.  Work on the reward scripts can not begin until the events have ended.  In order for the rewards to meet our goals, we have to base their scaling on the entire dataset, not the first few weeks.   Rewards based on some subset of data would be neither accurate nor fair.

All I've ever wanted to know and never got answered, Am I going to have to destroy my 25 Purity aug?! If someone could tell me I could keep it forever and get the new aug as well, I really wouldn't care when they get finished!!

Oh and this thread is a "FACE TO THE SLAP!!"

Ngreth told us months ago they would probably not be ready until the July patch...

Plus anyone paying attention last year knows they can't do the scaling until the events are complete.

But they should have an inkling on the dragonx3 other reward! *poke*.

Oh and Corboy is right, I don't think we ever got an answer about the purity aug from last year and the new bronzed aug from this year being lore to each other or not...

I have a question.. Since I don't remember which abacus gets you which... Say for example you got the top reward last year but in the same event this year you only got 2nd. If you destroy your aug and get another do you now end up with a lesser one? Or if they were upgraded a bit this year how will you be able to tell if what you're getting is better than what you already have? This was probably covered somewhere but I don't recall seeing it. It would be nice of the aug guy to send you a link of what you'll be getting so you can decide to get the new one or just stick with what you have.

I want to know this as well.  I know we can just ask or look up which element type(Gold, Iron, Brass, etc) abacus is for each aug, but I can see this happening to others that don't know how or won't look it up.  Could avoid a Customer Service nightmare by having the clockwork link you the top aug for each abacus type.  Just set it up so that you can say "Iron" , "Gold", etc and he will link the top aug for that one.

One of the devs stated that it computes your reward for this year, compares to reward of last year, and gives the higher of the two.

That's gonna be fun.

If it is score based, it would be hard to tell if you were first this year and last year.  If it is based on stats, then they must have discovered the universal formula that determines the best aug no matter what your class or preferences.

Bit late now, but wonder if they could have linked it to the quest reward system. Hand in the token instead of clicking then get the reward box, where you could have selected the reward you wanted.

Option 1 - last year

Option 2 - this year.

I don't imagine it would have been too much additional effort as they must already have the information on which reward to give to do the comparision.

All of the augs have a relative value among their aug line (X).  Now, last year you had score L, which results in aug L-X; This year you have score M, which results in aug M-X;  if L-X is higher than M-X (with X based variables still maintaining a fixed ranking listing), then you get L-X, if not you get M-X.  Really, this isn't that hard.  At this point they likely don't even have, or at least use, any of last years scores - they just have the "L-X" number.

No matter what your class or preferance, the power of an aug within the same line will be equal to or higher in all stats as it gets better.

Hm, you are right, I didn't realize they'd be extending the same lines of augs.  The purity aug might pose a problem still though I think.

In the case of the purity aug, clicking the appropriate abacus will give you both last year's purity aug and this year's regular aug.  (I expect that you won't need to destroy your purity aug, you'll simply get a duplicate lore item message and the script will continue on to this year's reward.)

Not sure where to post this and I can't find any other posts on the subject.

On 06/01/09, I checked the leaderboards for the Dragons anniversary event. My guild (I am not an officer, just a member), Whit's End, on Erollisi Marr server, was not listed as doing the raid version of this event at all. Whit's End is listed under the group version as completing 12 dragons though.

On 04/16/09, WE did the raid version of this event and completed 16 of the dragons. I recieved my Gold Plated Spiked Gear Model III for 3 years paid subscription. The item has stats of 11AC, 114HEM, no other stats as seemed appropriate for the number of dragons we defeated. Whit's End is not listed on the leaderboard for this accomplishment. This was listed on the leaderboard under raid: waves completed at an earlier time when I checked.

On 04/21/09, WE again entered the raid version of the Dragon's event. I do not remember how many dragons were killed on this attempt, but think that it was a lesser number. I did not change my aug at this time.

I personally did the group event on a later date to help some friends get the reward. The group killed 10 dragons this time and is probably the group leaderboard entry for Vintersong.

I sent this as a petition but they informed me there was nothing they could do and suggested a post on the forums. For the last several days, I cannot get the leaderboard to load at all.  I had a friend try to access it with the same result, loading 25%, but never finishes.  Can you please look into this or direct me to where to report it please?

WE did complete 16 dragons and should recieve the, at this time unknown, award for placement against other guilds on our server.

Thank you for your time.

You had to kill all 20 dragons in order to get a " raid time-elapsed " time on the Dragons event, and not killing all 20 dragons does not make you eligable for the 2nd aug reward as far as I understand.

The devs know about the double kill and they were even asked about it (yes, some top level guilds do ask such things before "exploiting" it).  I don't know whether they replied, at that point though it was clear you had to do it if you wanted to keep up with the scores.  The fact is simply that is unlikely that any action will be taken as it is was only a minor problem, something every guild could take advantage of.  It's not like it was possible to get good scores with a single group (unlike some SoD raids that were single groupable).

I saw nothing wrong with battle prowess, apart from the fact that to achieve the best score you should refrain from bringing any classes that are poor DPS.

Dragons, well I suppose you mean that you could actually do things smarter than the way you've done them when the raid content was new.  Like using invis in places (not easy to try get an entire raid to invis), killing mobs in between ticks (what do you expect with DPS nowadays) and being smart about how to split up the raid force and when to use discs.

First attempt we did, we were actually pausing in between events to allow some time for recovery (and getting shouted at when we engaged accidently anyway).  Last attempts we didn't even pause after killing BM but ran straight to Kera -- if you died, too bad, get a rez or banner/pok back in.
