For people using Win7 with an Nvidia graphics card, I'd like you to test something for me if you don't mind. This is based on an issue VW_factor reported in another thread, and I'm trying to find the cause. To test this you will need to have Anisotropic Filtering enabled.-Go to an area with a easily defined floor pattern. Somthing with a repeating square pattern like tile would be ideal-Click on an NPC in the background and keep your eyes on the ground, somewhat far away from your characterDoes the Anisotropic filtering turn off? You can tell because the texture will look slightly more blurry than it did previously. I'm doing some testing on my end but I do not have Win7 installed currently to try it on that operating system. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Are you still needing an answer to this? If so, I am using the Win 7 RC with an 8800GTX and can try it out if that meets your requirements.

You can, if you are still using the WHQL driver.. however, I seem to have solved this with the latest beta. 186.08
But whatever it was, nVidia seems to have gotten it sorted out.
I have a lower end system compared to many people here:
The system runs as well as under XP, maybe slightly faster. I had XP with the Launcher, installed Win7 and then just ran the Launcher as an administrator. When running EQ2 it couldn't find the directory, but it was easy to fix that (manually). Launcher loaded and scanned for EQ2 file updates in a quarter of the time compared to XP. Then launched EQ2, and everything works splendidly.
I tried EQ1 and Vanguard as well, but they don't appear to lauch from the Launcher itself. Not sure about runing them directly but will give that a try tomorrow.
The only issue I have with W7 is using Creative ALchemy in EQ2.
EQ2Settings.exe recognizes the OpenAL drivers and allows me to choose any EAX mode, but when I log into the game all I get are software based sound modes (Dolby and Miles).
I've tried different versions of ALchemy, different versions of Sound Card drivers, changing the Compatatablity Mode, but nothing happens.
Has anyone gotten EAX to work in game?

So far no luck. Have you gotten ALchemy to work with any other game under Win7? Are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Win7? I have the 64-bit version here.
I've gotten it to work with other games, just not EQ2.
And I'm running the 64bit version as well.
