You can be 50% now. Nothing more needs to be said, all that can be reasonably presented and argued has been done--and was done within the first month-- and agree or disagree, the facts are we can't know for certain the full effects until it goes live and that the current "hardcore" players will be the least affected by any potential negatives. All we can do now is hope we are wrong and that the game isn't hurt.
So 102 pages later, the only answer we've gotten from the devs is "we aren't fixing anything - we just like the idea and its initial conception was so flawless that we don't need to change a thing based on your input and ideas. But hey, thanks anyways."
I'll of course wait to see the actual implementation, but I find it hard to believe that removing another differentiating factor from the game and simply handing out critical masters based on just logging into the game is a good idea. Even Veteran rewards simply increase the reward from adventuring or crafting but you at least still have to do something. This does nothing but ensure that everyone will have Masters and so all content from solo to raid will be geared with that expectation. In the end, it hurts every player type and despite all the well-reasoned arguments and multitude of suggestions for implementing the RA in an exciting manner, we get mention of the RA tacked onto the end of the Producer letter listing changes and no indication anyone's feedback has been helpful let alone influential.
I don't want to beat the dead horse of "we'll communicate better" but the RA seems to me the first real test of a brand new idea tossed out by a developer that is in desperate need of improvement. I sure hope it gets it before GU 52.

T8 Earthen Avatar Master was on sale for 1100 P on Butcherblock last night. That's the first time it has been on the broker for months. I am happily looking forward to RA.
I don't get it, for that much coin someone could just by epic updates and have a master 4 pet... and still have ~850p left over.

Assuming the price was even serious. I've personally put up spells at ridiculously high costs fully expecting to get tells and haggle to something more reasonable.
Indeed, but people that want to see the RA go in cost free don't think about this sort of thing. It tends to mess with their argument.

@Noaani this hole RA has no logic, why should people which support it have some
102 pages later.. RA proves that SOE is not able to communicate, that supporter are just thinking for themself, in a very short perspective and the people against think for the hole community and the game in the end.
There is again a lack of logic why SOE listen to the first party..
SOE learned their lesson with the NGE and SWG. They don't make one huge change to get rid of all their customers. They now gradually try to get rid of us by putting in things like the free RA.
The only way this further wowification ( easy mode ) RA could be a ok addition is if it cost something and actually was the first desperately needed money sink ever put in EQ2. ( Inflation is one of the biggest reasons masters cost 1,2 1000 plat ) When you find yourself at a broker going, " that is an insane price " you can thank the lack of money sinks.
But SOE will continue to listen to the 1% of the population that screams the loudest on the forums. We will get no money sink, and EQ2 will continue to be made easier and easier till their is no reason to stay.

That would be me, and they don't listen to me nearly enough.
Poeple dont sell masters for that much.Did you even bother sending a tell to the guy or try to find out what alts he plays or anything?
I have put masters up for over 1k befor just to field offers cause didnt know what to price it at.........
But people do not sell masters for that amount.

checked the broker on butcherblock earthen avatar 2 copies 150 pp and 500 pp befor broker costs...........damm i guess that one for 1100 musta sold!
Pfft... clearly you don't get the point of the RAs!
Silken SAID Earthen Avatar was for sale on Butcherblock for 1100p... it doesn't matter if it was never actually AT that price, whats important is that Silken SAID it was!
Obviously, since all soloers need master tank pets in order to be able to do, well, anything, they all NEED Earthen Avatar mastered, and can't afford an imaginary 1100p, let alone the real cost of 60p that its going for on Nagafen.
Because soloers NEED Earthen Avatar master, and because they ONLY price it sells at is an imaginary 1100p, cost free RAs are the absolute only possible path this game can take from this point on, because its the ONLY way to correct an imaginery price!
The fact that it will ruin a large portion of progression for every player in the game is of secondary concern at best to the fact that soloers can't afford an imaginary 1100p master that is required to do, well, anything.

Oh you silly children. Are you so insecure in your own arguments and self esteem that you need to turn this into a debate about buying a master from the broker. The discussion here is about RA, not the broker.
Again, I'm looking forward to finally getting my earthen avatar from a RA.

Hey. Glad to see you agree with me You finally understand the necessity RAs in the game.

You're the one that bought the broker up, not Bigron.
Children indeed...
