I'm trying to design a couple of things and I'd like to take a look at some stuff other people have done.

1.  A "market" area where a banker, broker, vendor NPC are stationed

2.  A druid portal area

3.  A tradeskill area

4.  An underground cave-like area, perhaps with a jail or something.  I saw some pictures of a dwarven mine someone had made, but I'm a novice decorator and I have no clue how he did it---but it looked really cool!

5  A throne room/trophy room.

Please let me know if you have some neat places I can check out, I'd appreciate it!

i made a cave using a lot of rough stone benches, tables and some of those decorative shrines. used the benches to line the floor and the tables and shrines to line the walls. Put in a waterfall and pond. Used some of those knolls of fireflies for ambiance and a couple of kobolds to make it a little more threatening.

I have a thread here about lighting, its way to dark for a cave, but haven't been successful on dimming the lights.

Hi Larik,

You are in the right place.  Everything you are looking for I have seen here.  Excitedly though you may wish to start going through all the posts in this forum to find your inspiration.  It may seem a daunting task but it is far from that.  While looking through the forum for ideas you are referring to you are more than likely to come accross several ideas that will inspire you to try several things that have not even crossed your mind.  Believe me, it's worth a look.  The decorators here are very creative and have posted their ideas and creations so you can take them, manipulate them, and make your own unique designs...which you should post for others to see

Take time to browse this forum, it's awakens the designing spirit,

~Jin

Market places come in the fancy and simple varieties, youill find many examples of both. In my hall I made the Druid port part of a druid ring. As we are Freeport based, the GL dictated it not be too pretty, wild, or "Qeynosian" so its symetical and not with much foliage. A ring can be varied quite a lot, though I guess since druid rings, are rings, its not a clever new thing. BUt if you're stumped, youi might start there and see what evolves.

I have kept all of the guild halls presented here on the forums in one single post. It is divided up by City and Tier for ease of use in looking for ideas regarding a particular tier. It is worth the time looking at the other tiers too though, you never know what kind of ideas you'll find!

Yep unlimited ideas and pics here for you! I would suggest going to the top of this page and searching individual things. Like cave, market, etc. It will pull the posts with the word in it and make it easier then going through every post. SMILEY  Good luck and happy decorating!

Hi there!  Like everyone has already said, browse the posts here!  Check out Nefaria's list of guild halls, too.  Excellent stuff throughout.

Also, while I don't think I have any of the specific areas you mentioned, there are quite a few other things that might inspire you in the Idea Gallery at EQ2 Decorators.

Good luck and happy decorating!

=) One more quick hint that I finally learned to do =)..

Make a folder on your desktop ( or wherever you want it to be). Name it House Pics or whatever ))

Then save to that folder all pics you might want to try or check into closer. I have lost so many things that I went back to look for and never found.

I also have a wordpad file in the HOuse pic folder ))..
I use that to match info to a picture in the folder.. like an address and server of someplace I want to go see closer. Or a list of things used to make a certain "item"....like a tank or old fireplace.

You will get so many wonderful ideas here your head will spin -)).. at least mine does !
