The devs gave us a blank server to gather and start over on, who all would go?

I wouldn't myself for the simple reason why I don't start over on clw. I just don't want to do all that stuff I have now, so late in game.

I used to think this was a good idea, but at the time when I saw the idea on youtube, even just a year ago, the game was much more lively than it is now.

Edit: Also a LOT of my old buds that used to play were around who are now on different games, none at all, or different servers.

ya know, when you put it like that, it actually does sound fun (I knew I originally liked this idea for a reason). No one would have a bunch of 60 alc, healers of any kind, palies, or sk's, or even wizzy with snow, to pl everyone. It would be straight grinding, questing, etc.

I'd still be reluctant to try it out, but I think I'd try it out if I heard it was turning out to be fun.

ah you know it would be fun bro, imagine the first raid and everyone would be wearing 40s quest reward armor because no one would even know how to craft yet lol it would be so much fun to do the low lvl raids again too like voxs and guk and aof lol

That is exactly the way i was thinking. Everyone would have fun, and be on equal footing, and id hope everyone would have fun.

This would be similar to what they do on diablo 2. I think it would be interesting to have all the servers reset. No more pls, no money, no gear, just reset the toons back to lvl 1 and do it over again. I could see the downside to this altough, tons of toons at pickclaws, even more at dawn maiden, it would be madness.

huh they did this at one point in time and was really cool. It was called Hagley. Of course the main pull was boon lol at the time.

But for those of us who had made the jump to hagley to enjoy 4x the xp know what it was like to start over. It was sweet due to the fact you met toons from every server and all were equal for the most part except for buffed toons.

But as for getting everyone to start over now not sure it would happen. The only way I see this working is creating a PvP server and having everyone start over on there. If this was done it might even bring back and invite new players due to the fact most people like PvP.

It could be done easily enough I think if you did it by like a port in or coach when you arrive you get a PvP pop up that you have to agree to which is similiar to a duel invite that you have to accept to engage in PvP combat.

But other then this I dont think there would be a big draw just to start over. If that is what you are looking for try creating a toon on a low populated server gives the same effect somewhat. Try convincing some friends to play on the same server one day a week or a few hours a day.

I have begun doing this and do admit I do miss my 60's at times and my crafters lol. Not to mention my tunar.

Hagley wasnt really good for starting over, it was meant to get zp tested. Id love to see hagley wiped clean and left open for people to move to. I think id enjoy starting over with a huge group of people that i know are starting over too, where there was no pling.

hey fidelity u just got 1500 cms... err I mean messages SMILEY

I wonder who would grind enough to be the first to get 1500 cms on a new server. What class would it be(no assuming either, everyone has their way to xp faster than aoe, etc.).

Who would get the first Sapphrya's Sword(i still don't have one SMILEY )

Who would get the first Vallon Tank bp(bastion?)

I'd make an SK or Paly just because I love sk but have always wanted to try a paly as far as tanks go.

Monk for melee(idc who doesn't like them I love the way the animal attacks look lol)

Wizzy for caster, or nec seeing as how I don't have a 60 one yet(lvl 50) but at the same time I'd love to see what it's like to cast on a mob for 5k+ dmg and consistantly lol.

Druid for Hlr. I like druid what? I'd go Storm caller too.

I'd doubt you would get 10% of the dead servers to go and 1% off CLW. Besides the whole losing all your cm,tunar and gear, some of which doesn't drop anymore aka discontinued quest items you'd be missing the most important NEW STUFF. You'd have nothing new, you'd just do the same old thing you did for last 5 years. Also imagine a thousand or so people going to a new server at the same time, we all know exactly how to level a toon fast. There be a mad race to run thru your 1st ten lvls via quests get enough tunar to buy boon port to fp and make the mad run to HP to secure your pick camp to speed to 20-25. Last time I counted there wasn't hundreds of pick camps so wonderful fighting soon to come, then you'd have full camps at bandits, sunnyvale, gnolls, qeynos prison until a person could hit 30s to farm the 1 low camp of orcs in fp or run the DM quest (which I can tell you no more then 10 can do this quest at a time). So we got more fighting to come.

It probably take you a good month to hit 60 without the help of other 60s to afk at trees or help kill mobs like tfg. After all your quests, flags, starting your 60 epic you may be able to have enough 60s to start raiding in 2-3 months then give it a good 6 months before there are several guilds fighting over the same mobs over and over. Almost impossible to find a mob up on CLW very long, imagine every guild needing or wanting IG for their defender or ZPs..

Pretty much hassle and fighting non stop for 6 months and the fact this might allow SoE to save money by shutting a few servers down would equal absolutely no decrease in monthly subscription fees. Yeah I'll pass

by that 1% do you mean the orignial cast of clw or some of its new inhabitants? Id guesss that even 10% of the "dead" servers came and lets say even 10% total off clw would come, that would be a nice sized populated server fun to play on with everyone there willing to do it.

I for one would be more willing to give up everything i have on PPO to move there permanately vs playing on clw.

Would depend really, how much you got invested on your toon. I think even the new people on CLW would have to weigh what they have accomplished, I moved to PPO and I really would quit b4 remaking another set of 60s on a new server its alot of work, gotta think when you move majority of people don't remake 1 toon they remake a few per account, probably at least 2 (1 raid toon, 1 fun toon) per account because how fun is playing a stack cleric only which will be needed..lol So any of the new transfers it would probably be a bit rough to spend a good 3-6 months knocking out a set of toons to only do it again and then you got whatever perks you obtained. One good thing about coming to CLW is, if you joined one of the big raid guilds more often then not all the old time players already obtained a few pods and they would pass or let some of the new guys obtain spells, I got my pally, shaman spell simply because no one needed and my bard I off tanking twin and no one called bard.

So would have to depend on what they have accomplished and how well they like CLW for them to actually leave. I don't see any new transfers who got a couple ZPs, Pod, bpoa, seraphic BP, Trans wall etc leaving that easily.

If  they did it  though  i'd hope they never  let any kind of  XP boost on the  server no boon no luck none  at  all, no rehabbers  except a one time rehab roll that  server back to like the  older  days. To be  honest i  think every server needs a  total  wipe Tunar  Armor  etc  everything, too many glitchers inflated   Prices on stuff ETC.
