Yeah, I have the sequal but not the first one. I played it before played this one.

I really liked playing it to try new things, weaken my toons, make em uber, cheat with code breaker get REALLY uber or get REALLY weak, love hack and slashing at things. I absolutely loved dueling on that game too.

My favorite way to duel on that game was lvl 1 fresh made characters.

Played the first one and loved it. Didnt like the top view so much but was fun. glitching the gems before combining was always a good way to over power your toon.

Havent tried the sequel yet but i might now just for fun when I have one of those im burnt out on eqoa days.

LoL might even play a lil later today for fun. Trying to remember if I Duel boxed it as well cause I hate split screen or LOS 2 player games.

But see even champions got it's sequel

from what i can remember it wasn't split screen. However if playing offline multiplayer you can't progress on the map without the other player. So if one is sitting at a check point you could only go to the edge of the screen.

Online gameplay you HAD to be in multiplayer mode but it was like 1 player in that you didn't need to wait for everyone else. So if you were an sk with shadow step could move across the whole board with enough mana.

or if you were like me(remember i played sequal only, idk if some classes were in first) you could use a codebreaker and make a spell lvl 0 and it would have the effect to make you jump ahead a few steps(like a dogde but fowards SMILEY )

I messed with the game... A LOT... prolly too much...

I loved the Champions games. Much better than the other dungeon crawlers on the Ps2, baldur's gate and such. I played with multitap and 4 players. People cheated on that game too much, everyone carried those statues that let people have tons of stats when I was online. The wizard was disapointing late in the game, spells needed a way to progress and get more damage. Definately one of the best things on ps2. My fondest memory is my brother mashing the ability button and the toon repeating "no mana" and "out of mana". Very funny.

lol I remember the statues too, you actually could carry a bunch letitimately.

Every str one you carried added more str so you could carry more, it only took up about 1.5 weight i think(the best bear statue) so as long as you gave yourself 26.5 weight space or something like that, you could end up carrying a bunch, however the other ones took up the full amount of weight they were worth, so if someone had say 100 owls, they were full of it if they said they could carry them legitimately.

Ppl online did love to cheat, that's why i got a codebreaker, so I could mess with them if they cheated in a legit game I would host. Rather than just kicking them(since that would actually lag out the game most of the time), I just kicked everyone and rehosted, I could exit but the game doesn't end of host goes away SMILEY .

I loved the first one and is one of my favorite hack-n-slash games. The second one was ok but I would have liked it better if they didn't remove the diabloish random areas and had the big mistake of hp/mana max gems not working. The prefix/suffix weapons are always a favorite of mine and I always thought it would be intresting if eqoa had something like that for its loot. Overall, both are solid games that are much fun mulityplayer SMILEY
