If you do not agree with the removal of buffs from clothing then DO NOT post here.

By posting in this thread you are signing for this.

This is for people who feel that they want buffs to be removed from clothing so we can all freely wear what ever we like. If you agree with this then please post.

It should not be up to who ever wears the uglyist, most buffed clothing that decides who wins a fight.
right now on the test server i wear the following to keep me alive: Brown pants, Pink shirt, Green coat, Brown hat. Not nice to look at.

Again if you do not agree with this, do not post.

I agree on this matter....I never really liked the idea of buffed clothing on the first place..though if we remove buffed clothing we'll hafta find something else for archive bosses to drop.

It would be very nice to see some people with some actual matrix looking combinations of clothing instead of some gaudy thing that you see EVERYONE wearing.  Lets all be different for a change.

But, it would be dificult to do.  Many people seem to agree on the whole buffs being seperated from the clothing but you still have buffs.  It would be nice to have that, but i can see where that would need a major overhaul on the devs part.  But if they could do it, that would be just plain awesome.  Then you could actually distinguish people by their choice in clothing.

sure, definitely agree. but the caveat being the question about what to do with the notion of archive/dungeons and making them still serve a purpose. oh, and also red frags for clothing.

Yeah, I hate having to wear the usual green t-shirt, red trousers and black trench to fight effectivly, it looks terrible.

The dungeons could be used to expand the arsenal of weapons, another matter people have wanted adding.  Or maybe to gain a few extra base stats points.

Just to clarify something: abstraction of buffs from clothing is NOT a feature that will be included in CR2.0; it is too large of a project in its own right. So this thread is a little off-topic here in this CR2.0 forum.

I'm not agreeing.

And by posting in this thread I'm *not* signing for this.

I post that I'm not agreeing because I don't want to clutter the CU2.0 items forum with another "If you would like keep buffs from clothing, sign here.)

I don't want item buffs to be removed, I want them to be seperated from clothes. Big difference.

Really this is not an off topic thread. It brings up a perfectly logical issue that should be discussed and considered. So far every good idea that I have heard on these forums has been shot down by a dev saying it is too big it can't be done. So removing rather than replacing is a bigger task? Hmmm they must be teaching computer science/engineering wrong these days?

The truth probably more or less is that this subject is non-negotiable and the high ups in Sony don't care. So just say thats the case rather than saying its a bigger task LOL.

But we all know that unless all buffs are created equaly on every piece of buffed clothing we will all look the same in our ugly green pants and red jacket.

An alternate could be identical buffs on diffrent articles of clothing. Hell, why not just do something like this:

Take the:

9 MCT

And instead of just the one pair of pants that everyone wears, make copies of all the diffrent types or pants and put 9 MCT on it. IE if there were 100 diffrent types of pants models, there would be 100 diffrent types of pants with 9 MCT, this releaves the uglyness of everyone wearing the same thing. Then just repeat the same process with every diffrent buff combo. Alot of work? yeah. Worth it so we arnt complaining about the clothing? Yes.

Oh, and NO SIGN AND JUST BECAUSE IM POSTING IN THIS DOESNT MEAN I AGREE WITH IT BUT RATHER AM SUBMITING AN ALTERNATIVE.

Come on i said don't post if you do not agree.

Rearebit,  removing all the buffs from clothing would be too big a job?  Then what do the devs plan to do ? Did Neo beat smith in the first movie because  his pants had an extra few CT?  Or was his shirt high in resistance?

Something needs to be done and adding more and more and more clothing with buffs is not the way. I think i read from Rarebit that there is some sort of limit /shrug

i remember a dev saying that damage resistance clothing will be the best clothing to get, and that there's around 1500 different male clothing with the highest damage resistance buffs on it. Thats pretty good.

Well if we did that then it would look as if the entire community supported the removal buffed clothing. If you want removed buffed clothing request a server for that to be made, dont force something like that on the rest of the community that does want buffed clothing.

That was just the movies though man, AND it was Neo who basicly was godlike within the matrix. Last I checked there isnt a shirt that lets you stop bullets with a wave of your hand.

No he said that UNIQUE items was a problem, so long as it was using spairingly, IE Beta Clothing, Awakened glasses and jackets, and the flaming eye coat. Thats why hideout and archive loot doesnt look unique, unfortunitly.

Come on and start reading my posts. I wrote why I posted. And just because you say I may not post I will not stop posting. This is an open forum, you know?

PascaI, he was not talking about *removing* buffs altogether. He was talking about *abstracting* buffs from clothes. Again. Big difference.

Yes, adding more buffed clothes for the sake of variety is the way to go. Not removing buffed clothes altogether.

I said it before and I'll say it again, if you remove buffed clothes altogether you kill current game content. You'd kill the purpose of all the collectors, hideouts, archives and pandora's boxes. You realize this, right?

Yes, this game needs way more complex content, that's the reason why removing it now is a NO, NO, NO, NO!
