Anyone catch this on Fox after the Giants/Cowboys game?

I'm not the biggest Terminator fan, but it seems like it could be interesting. It takes place after the events of the second movie.

I thought the women casted as Sarah Connor was a bit too young looking, but she does look alike and I thought they did pretty well in casting John Connor.

I'm not really sure I like multiple Terminator's. Also, it's going to be hard watching anything Terminator without Mr. Arnold.

Aside from the obvious casting difference, which could be understood, I'm pretty pleased with what I saw tonight.

The series is set between Terminator 2 and Terminator 3, and I'd assume it would lead up to the eventual death of Sarah Connor, as noted in the third movie.  The writers seem to be genuinely putting thought into the storyline, though I hope that's not just for the sake of the pilot, and are exploring/better-defining the things previously stated in the movies.  Such as the rules for time-travel, etc.

This female Terminator that's guarding John initially had me groaning, because of its show of emotion... but they acknowledged it in the pilot, actually raising it as a question that can be answered later on in the series.

All in all, it's the only show I've been interested in following in a long time, and it has a lot of potential for some really good stories, so long as they don't dull anything down.  Time will tell, though.

I was afraid they would screw this up... but I was very impressed by what I saw.  Story is good so phar, and the acting was even better.

I didn't watch it myself, but I'd heard it was "not entirely *CENSORED*"

I really think they are throwing out the 3rd terminator film, and I hope im right.  T3 was just not a very good movie. Nice action sequences but over all just a popcorn flick and nothing else.

If you look at how the time lines work rather than thinking of them as 2 parallel lines, think of them as one line parallel to a dotted line indicating changes and they do things in the present.  If  you think about it like that, you have endless possibilitys  for the show,  and infinite number of alternate futures to fight against.

I was going to watch this and then forgot it was on.. gah.  Anyway, it does look pretty good just based on the commercials I've seen and it's good to hear that they did a decent job with it.

Actually, the series is basically in an alternate universe, and is throwing T3 out the window. I hated T3 with a passion that I wish it never existed.
