Moving so closely to the toasters? Well, I suppose.. what use is a toaster, without bread to toast.
Yeah he sort of just didn't fight me for uh.... no reason. I mean unless of course it was my borderline out and out cri.....insulting of the quality.... poor quality of the event. All the same it was rather strange but not surprising. A really rather terrible attempt at an event with about 1 or 2 relevant points and some seraph duels just becuase if he's there, that's what he does.
The oracles pressence while a trying to be vague and depth filled as an attempt to provide the players with the mysticism of the oracle from the movies - in general seems to be an excuse to ask questions with no answers, make empty statements and then act as though wisdom of the ages has flowed through the blatant stupidity that is her words.
"What he's doing will involve lots of people" - well sweet neo, we best get cracking.
It's one thing if im a sarcastic bastard - i always am, but when someone makes a comment that makes almost every player in the org reply with 'woah' sarcastically, someones dropped a ball.
I couldn't even stand to stick around to listen to shimada, it was far too painful. I re-arranged elements of my schedule to participate in these events only to find out they make me want to quit the game more then the lack of events to begin with.
Anyone remember when events were more then just people spamming hoping to be the lucky ones who get a reply? - Yeah, i don't either.
And nothing, nothing can describe the sheer annoyance i have with being greeted by members of opposing orgs at our 'secure' location. And i don't just mean that they show up, i mean that they are there waiting when we arrive. LESIG itself has a lot of problems in it, and for once those problems aren't just the people on it.
Some exceptions may apply.
However since i don't want to be excessively negative - it was cool to see three LE chars... that are supposed to be important and significant to me.

I have to agree. That was the most disappointing Oracle meeting I've ever been to.
And where are all the screenshots of Seraph disappearing when we all lined up in response to "Let everyone who can defeat me step forward."
Nevermind the fact Darm was right in front of him waiting.
Most of the people left before Shimada even showed up because it was an hour and a half into it, after a long series of Seraph duels and nobody knew she was coming. Only people that saw her were the ones that stuck around to watch or fight Seraph.
And yeah, people showing up at our secure location before we even arrive was pretty lame. Not to mention certain factions all logging in at once at the exact time of our event. The same faction whose members told me the Truce was going to break a day before it actually did. Yeah...LESIG leaks FTL.
Nah, my personal favorite:
Seraph: Let whoever thinks they can defeat me step forward.
*Darminian steps forward*Seraph: Is there no one who will step forward?
*Seraph vanishes into admin invisibility without warning*
Yeah, that pretty much happened, in a nutshell.
As it was deep in the night for some of us, we left earlier. It was a messy event, not the event itself. As factions of the same EPN who should be standing by each other, there was a frustration in the air you could cut with a knife. Some folks just couldnt stop asking, babbling away, the oracle didnt have a chance to say much.As were still in the procedure as faction, to get our EPN status, we didnt thaught we were gonna be invited. However we did get an invite.None of us said more then needed, as we wanted to just listen, and not be "shouting from a tower".Some within EPN themself seem at some point devided. After debrief, we all jacked out. The next morning i woke up, while every one still asleep except for me and my operator. So i jacked in, did some tasks..When i got sad, about the night before and what all went through my mind because of it.i tried to shake an agent as i made my way to gracy heights, at the fightclub.Alone there with Neo's code, i started talking. I just couldnt hold it in. The emotions became too strong to not say the words i felt coming up in the hope Neo could hear me. No, the event itself was messy. Welcome to Oracle meetings. Everyone wants to ask a question but it's just a matter of who figures out the right pre-scripted question to ask. Most of the time you'll leave a meeting with the Oracle and you won't feel like anything useful was said at all. Most significant questions go unanswered because, "Oh, I can't tell you that because the story hasn't progressed far enough." I mean, Phrack asks a difficult question and then she says, "Oh, look at the time." I mean, I understand it's difficult to play the Oracle without giving things away, but when you're vague just for the sake of being vague it's kinda pointless. The relevant kind of vague is what we need. I'd rather not feel like I'm listening to someone read statements so general that I feel like I'm listening to my horoscope.
As far as fighting amongst factions, to be honest, we're tired of random people showing up at our events when we have no idea who they are. I'm not going to call anyone out specifically, but it's always the same people every time. They make no effort to associate with the rest of the org and then when there's an event: bam! There they are! And then there's the people who seem to know our location before we even do...and when new factions are being considered for EPN, the rest of us never seem to know until it's way too late. We rarely ever get any such information from liaisons that say something to the effect of, "Oh, hey, such and such is being considered for EPN. Help them out if you get the chance, get to know them." Things like that shouldn't be saved for events because when non-EPN factions show up, we tend to get suspicious because of events in the past. We've been screwed hard by it before.
There were also cases of harrassing tells being sent fo other faction leaders from some of those factionless participants that were really starting to get on our nerves.
But honestly, for what it's worth, I like that last screenshot. You would have made a good operative in my old EPN faction, I think.
And please don't take this as an attack on you or your faction. I'm just ranting based on how I saw it.
In the end, this event = fail on multiple levels.
I hope this isn't excessive negativity, it's meant to be feedback, but if it is, oh well.
