Ok I think i have a decent computer even though i need more ram but a while ago id get horible lagg and i tried everything so i switched to windowd mode and i dident get eny lagg but with the last patch i cant hyper jump or barley enything without crashing...what should i do?

I'd be tempted to put it down to a problem with RAM, however if you post the rest of your system info as requested in the thread at the top of the forum we can take a better look (at the moment you've only posted a very small part of it).

The other thing to include would be what sort of internet connection you are playing on. One thing to try straight off the bat though is run a full system check just to make sure everything is in order with your client files. To do this load the launcher and then when prompter to accept the EULA click the full system check button then press accept. Once the launcher has restarted, click accept and then wait to be prompted to login. Then press the full system check button again and login and wait for the check to complete.

Well as your PC scrapes through on medium-low to minimum spec for MxO I'd expect that you'd get some lag but not crashing out all the time.

More than likely it's due to other programs running in the background. File sharing programs that use CPU time and bandwidth are the worst offenders.

Also you will need to close as many programs as possible as you only have 512MB RAM, 256MB of which is used by Windows XP leaving 256MB for MxO (approximations).

The top 4 things to do to speed things up:

  1. Close all unnecessary applications before running MxO
  2. turn down your in-game graphics settings to medium or even low
  3. add more RAM to your PC (for best performance 1-2GB total RAM is recommended)
  4. upgrade your CPU to a non-celeron model. (the celeron has reduced data transfer speeds and less on-chip cache memory, the effect of which is like a really powerful engine but giving it really small fuel and exhaust openings, it has the potential but is limited by it's maximum throughput.)

You might also want to run a RAM test along with the full systems check, running a RAM test will at least assure you the RAM you do have is good and not causing any troubles there, but PHI is right you really ought to think about at least upgrading your RAM.

MemTest is a pretty simple and straightforward RAM tester, pretty good one too, thats the download page.

To continue with the rest of the good suggestion, you might want to try clean boot. Run clean boot and it will prompt you to close all of your background program and launch your game.

To disable background programs:

1.Select the START button.
2.Select RUN.
3.Type in "msconfig" (without the "SMILEY
4.Press OK
5.Select the STARTUP tab.
6.In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.
7.Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.
