Yes, it was. Chadwick made a Sentinel for it.

Plus I recall a canon critical mission after the Blue Sky event (most likely in chapter 4.3) where an NPC said something to the effect of "You know, I think some Sleepwalkers may have escaped destruction".

And yes, it has been said that this anniversary is more like the Halloween and Winter celebrations, and those are normally seen as non-canon.

Edit: At least this celebration will allow me to roleplay as Smith. That's something I've wanted to sink my teeth into for some time. SMILEY
