Downloading the Matrix Online

Hi everybody,

I am a new customer of SOE and just activated my matrix online subscription however it sais i have to wait for over 4 hours untill the download is complete. The file should be about 2 or 3GB big if i have to believe the launcher. The thing is i have a 24mbit line and things *should* be going a lot faster. I'm sure the servers are loaded with other people however is there an alternative way to download this thing?

I'd like to play the frigging game since i just paid for it!

Any alternative links or idea's would be helpfull. I have no firewall running on my pc and i even disabled the one in my router to see if it changes anything. Also the station launcher and the Matrix online patcher both show about the same speeds.

Edit: right nevermind, seems fileplanet is the only way to go SMILEY still think it's a crappy solution

When i got the game i had the disks. If u looked around u can find em 4 cheap.

Yeah, that is the only downside of a game that continues to get Updates every 6 weeks without fail, new players have to catch up by downloading over 3 years of them SMILEY

I just downloaded it while I slept. Anyways, I'm more or less positive the Beta Launcher has a 250kbps cap.

It should be noted that just because you have a 25mbit down on your line doesnt mean the patch server for the game runs at that speed unfortunately.

So if you are using a digital download to get the entire game yes it will be a while.

Also note that users that have done this process have experienced extremely long pauses more than 10 minutes with specific files as they are large. But if you feel something might be "hung" in the download process you can simply cancel the patch process and restart it and everything should resume properly.
