Its about time! 
I know I'm going to step on a few toes now but so what, I've made a lot of good friends in this game, met a few really awesome people who I still talk to regularly, so its all good. I won't be hating SOE for this if only for that reason well and also that I've actually moved to another SOE game which has SOOOOOOOOOO much more content than MxO ever had and I am really enjoying it there... but I am laughing at all the SOE hate thats going on at the moment.
SOE is just doing what all businesses do, drop non profitting and failing assets. You've all seen this coming yet a lot of you act suprised and angry when it does. I don't blame you guys for being angry but good god... This elitist complex going around in here is to the point of being utter ridiculous. Your players in a game like so many others... Move onto the next one. Sure SOE might also have crappy customer service, but which big company doesn't?
A lot of you say you and other people wouldn't want to play other SOE games after seeing what SOE did with MxO, but I have to dissagree. There are tons more happy players in other SOE games than MxO ever had in total. And if I was a MMO developer and I saw all the crap thats been going on in MxO over the years I wouldn't want many MxO players in my games. No where else have I seen as much drama and basically pointless crap go on as I have in MxO. No wonder so many people including myself left over the years. And I am still glad that I did, I've never regretted it. Sure I've felt sad at times, but I got over it pretty quick.
So as I said, I won't be hating SOE for this. What am I going to do? Well I am going to resub the game (done), patch my client (done) and then I am going to celebrate what a great game MxO was in the time it has left. As my first mmo and because of all the awesome people I've met it will continue to hold a special place in my heart. And as I never made a farewell post, I'm going to end this one with a thank you to all those I've met that made this game worth playing for me, there are way too many names to name but I hope you all know who you are. 
So to you all, please stop all the hating and start celebrating!
