Hello Folks here's the Detailed tutorial for the Photo manipulation with this poster.
1. Gather the RSI that you're going to use and the Matrix movie Pic you're imposing the RSI into.
2. Open the RSI file and select the "Rectangular marquee tool." Create a box surrounding the rsi with at least 1/2" around your RSI. Copy it. Open your Matrix pic and "paste" the RSI pic on top. Save and rename a NEW *.psd file. Also it would be wise to name you layers as to be less confusing when you have more layers.
3. Select you RSI layer and lower the Opacity to 50%. Move, and resize it to desired position. Bring Opacity back to 100%.
4. Erase or Cut RSI from its own background. If you're erasing, use the the pencil to erase most of it but when it get close to the RSI use a smaller soft brush with 75-85% flow. If you're using the lasso tool, slightly blur the edges once you have cut it.
5. Duplicate RSI and movie pic layers and then Hide and lock those copies for safety reasons. If you messed up you can just duplicate a new one from those locked copies. This is where the FUN starts. Lower the RSI's opacity to 20-30% and select the movie pic layer. Select the Healing Brush tool and target a backround close to ur RSI.
6. Use the clone tool when the area needed to be cleaned is complicated. In this example, it's the debris and Neo's hands that needs to be cleared away. If it looks awkward, use the healing tool after to clean it a bit more.
7. Bring the RSI layer back to 100% Opacity. Zoom in and check if there's anything needed to clean up. Clean as needed. While the RSi layer is still selected, Press "Ctrl-A"(PC) or "Option-A" (Mac) to create a box marquee. Click on the Magic Wand tool with "subtract from selection" selected. click anywhere in your project except the RSI. This will create a marquee around the RSI.
8. Create a new Layer (on top of the RSI layer). Select the Eyedropper Tool and click on the darkest green shadow. Now, select the Paint Bucket Tool and Left-click on the RSI. This will fill a Green Tint in it.
9. Lower the opacity of the Green layer to 35%. Zoom in and erase the green tint on the on the fireshot.
10. Deselect the marquee. Hide the Movie pic layer. Select on the RSI layer. Select LAYER / Merge Visible.
This will merge both the Green tint and the RSI layer together.
11. To show that the RSI is in the background. Select on the Movie pic layer to show it up again. Select the RSI layer and lower the opacity to 30%. Erase (using the Soft Brush with 75% flow) anything that's will make the RSI look like its in front. (In this case, I erase the areas where the stars are at on the RSI layer.)
12. Create a new layer and let us make the RSI's shadow. Put the Shadow layer under the RSI. Click on a dark green shadow which you used to make the Green tint earlier with the Eye dropper Tool. Use a soft brush with 30% flow. Start making the shadow. If it seems too dark, just lower the opacity (60-80%) until it look just right. Hide the Movie pic again and merge the RSI and shadow together.
