From what I've heard and from experience myself, it seems impossible for any one person to be able to win in a 1v2+ fight. I think this is kinda lame and that if you are an above average fighter and your oponents are not, you should have a chance of defeating them both. What are some ways the game could be changed to make this possible? One I can think of is being able to activate 2-3 hyper defense buffs at once.
Also: About the Multi-fighting ability, was 3+ person IL ever possible? If so, could this be returned to the game? I don't know much about this as I wasn't around until after CR2 came along.
Not impossible but very difficult to pull off. Done it a couple of times the other night there with about 3 - 5 attacking me. Its just pure luck if you succeed or not (states etc.)
Yeah the 1 v 1 combat system is really annoying. For the most part in pvp, numbers > skill which kinda sucks.
Highly irratating when u interlock and u have a sniper and mkt hammering into you and u can't do anything about it.
Any 2 hypers should b able to be loaded at 1 time or dodge/block & deflect/sense. Plus a bit of res in the hypers but i suppose that means consistant technique etc would be useless.
Also Org abs I'm sure would be able to help out in times of you getting zerged.
No to multi fighting, although cool, to much time getting wasted in il as snipers and mkts can just take u down. Plus also the couple of punts in a row ain't healthy
I would really like to see somethin done about to the combat system to make it that 5 could actually v 10 but i'v just got a feeling nothing will be done
When Rarebit decided to go ahead with his worst idea ever(not being able to stack 2 defenses) i told him about an incident it had happened to me..Back then, even with 2 hypers on,it wasn't an easy task to survive a 2v1 BUT it was possible. So when i told Rare that i had survived a 2v1,his response was "You shouldn't be able to survive a 2v1"......Now things are a little different..Now you rarely survive!!As Bay said "The key is somewhat strategy, and a big helping of luck and circumstances as well."
There's a possibility for this with all classes. The key is somewhat strategy, and a big helping of luck and circumstances as well.Generally, if you have 2 reds in front of you, let's say... any class, and a MA, interlock the non-MA and try to kill him there. This works especially well if you've interlocked a hacker or MKT -- even if the MA states you, it doesn't really matter. Finish the first guy off somewhat slowly; get his health down quick then sit on Block if you need to in order to regen any significant health or IS. If you're being sniped, staggering throwed, or logic cannoned, switch to the hyper to block that and ignore the guy you're in interlock with. After this, finish off the guy in IL and move on to persona numero dos. This is for guns/MA, mostly... states are your friend, although I would recommend eschewing Dazed for Off Balance instead, sitting on speed helps you die when there's other reds present. If you're MKT, you can approach it a few different ways. You have several movement debuffs available -- Sever Artery, Neuro Dart, Deadly Throw, Hindering Shot. You also have roots -- Crippling Throw and Paralyzing Throw. Depending on your loadout, you can also have Shifty Technique to protect your shield from multiple attackers. Use your slows and roots to separate the enemies by rooting one guy, moving a bit back to pull the other's aggro, and then immobilizing him. From here, you can focus on getting someone's shield down -- make sure to break on grab and switch to block immediately to protect your shield. From there, you should have a little freebie time before slows/roots wear off, hit the guy who's slowed with some knives, shooting with Speed and then a trio of Deadly, Throat cutting, Subduing. Hopefully you stated him with powerless or dazed during this and he's either powerlessed or stunned. Go in for the sneak attack, finish off, and then deal with the second guy. Rinse repeat if necessary. ((Side note -- if you have both rooted you can also take the time to run 30m away or so, and sit down to regen health or IS if you're sure the area's clear. ))If you're UGM or patcher-kungfu, you should be able to win all rolls in interlock, do high damage with either state specials or souped up damage Cheap Shot / Head Butt, all while keeping yourself alive with heals. EZ mode.If you're hacker, it's doable if you're a AOE load and get Bottleneck and Resistance debuffs off, then just let loose with some Overclocked nukes/bombs and DOTs. This is pretty hard to pull off. If you're fighting two MAs, your best bet is to debuff the crap out of them with Destroy Resolve, Inefficiency Field, Despoiler, and then go into IL and kill as fast as you can, preferably with DOTs so you can sit on block as they still do damage, and then use the extra IS to deal more pain out. If you're not fighting 2 MAs as a hacker, try to pull the non-MA into IL, as stated before. If you're fighting 2 hackers/MKTs/gunners, you're pretty much screwed if they have any level of competency.
