G.H Hardy - A Mathematician's Apology
An excellent choice, Tranque. A lot of substance to what was debated for the most part though I found it somewhat off - putting when an argument was come about purely for the sake of debate, especially at such a time for both of them. Then again, I guessed that was kind of the point of looking to the Fates.
Oh and Ex, for what to read next, it may be worth looking into some Tolstoy, maybe... something like "Resurrection".
I got several books going at once, including:
--The Collected Letters of Jane Austen, which are an utter hoot since she's got this wicked but subtle snarky sense of humor
--Rob Thurman's "Madhouse", the third of the Cal Leandros dark urban fantasy series
--Jacqueline Carey's "Kushiel's Avatar", the third of a lengthy but wonderful erotic high fantasy/alternate history series
O Pioneers! by Willa Cather.
Required reading, but pretty good nonetheless.
Currently on the third book of the Horus Hersey series... fiction based in the Warhammer 40k universe.
Nerd alert!
Reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini
Not enjoying it at all so far...
