So why did it vanish in the 1st place? ok they updated to CR2.0 but didnt the animations stay? or did they have to do new ones for CR2.0?
I didnt have the pleasure of using CR1.0 so i have never seen these animations but i would say that wall kicks and "wire-fu" are part of what makes the matrix the matrix.
I can confirm it happening since CR2. Last week, I was running Standard missions with a few newer players to get them up in lvl. Did it during one of the phases of an Assassination mission in interlock, using Kung Fu and Speed, against Tactical Security in the corner of a room in Tabor Park.

I mean no offense, I just want to be sure.
The wall kicks were finshers though. At least the karate one was.
Don't those wall kicks fit into the 4 sec animation timer, or whatever?
I always used to nail the wall-kick with Karate during CR1. I guess it's time to try a repro. It is harder to be near the wall in CR2 but I'm going to give this a shot.

I think the system doesn't allow to use a wall for running. Plus I don't think they were ever changed for the 4 second timer

In actuality, the attack is about the same as when your character flips on one hand and shoots the opponent, which is a speed single handgun finisher.Fights never go near walls anymore because people don't take the time to really appreciate a duel. On Recursion I see long fights all the time where one measly wall kick would change boring duels to "*CENSORED* that was secks!". Too bad we can't earn special abilities, like pounce. Just redpill stuff, like Hyperstomp. Jump up in interlock and stomp on your opponent's head >.> I don't know about you guys, but if I could do that, I would call Dracomet my god (since he's the only one who codes this stuff.)CR2 took the awesome out of fighting to make it less buggy.
Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness.
Becareful what you wish for.
