Hopefully someone can help on this one... every time the client launches (after selecting a character) the opening videos play (with sound) then i get a music failed to initalize error and i get no sound from this point forward.... have tried numerous things to fix it... updating drivers, turning off AC 97 in the bios (i have an audigy 2) playing with speaker settings everything.... to no avail...

Any ideas?

Did you run a Full System Check to see if any of the files had damage to them?

Support on this forum is for the most part answered by players, we don't have a support rep thats deticated to these forums like when they were first opened. Most of the time one will come through and then answer most questions but ATM this forum is not the fastest way to get help unless one of us knows the answer off the top of our heads SMILEY. You could try SOE Live Chat or Email support, Click here for info on how live chat and email.

One thing many players have done to get non-functioning sound working again is to install and update Windows media Player 10, which includes access to many new codecs that may be missing or outdated on your system. Have you tried this?
