Say the Merovingian appoints a pair of operatives to protect a specific point. Normally, these two players would be completely owned without help should an opposing Org be alerted to their presence.

Say the Merovingian bestows a specific, Admin-only buff upon the two operatives? The two operatives  will make as decent super charged warriors of destruction, as if they were both level 60. This will give some players the benefit of playing like they were Live Characters themselves, and would relieve stress on Rarebit's part by having to play as many numerous people to get the point across in an Event.

Potential Hero Buff upgrades:

+1000 max health
+180 Resistance (all)
+40 Defense (all)
+20% Accuracy Bonus
+40 Damage Points

Lasts for ten minutes, otherwise can be removed or re-applied at will by the bestower (Rarebit in most cases I assume).

This means that instead of playing as the Merovingian, Persephone, Agent Gray, and Beirn, one needs only play as the Merovingian and Persephone and bestow two or three players with the Hero Buff or Grant or whatever to act as Beirn, and appear only temporarily as an Agent to give a few other players the buff so he doesn't have to do the fighting himself. This leaves him free to do the busy body talk talk talkiness of the Event, and gives a few lucky players the opportunity to "be like Neo" in a way.

Benefits all around!

Questions, comments, concerns, all-out refusals, et cetera, go here. I'm sure I forgot to lay down a few points, so a reply or two might jolt my memory. ;3

- You can get +900 health from bolster health 3 anyway
- resistances plateau @ 200, past that point damage is not reduced for specials
- the additional accuracy def and damage would roughly be equivalent to UGM or smith rage pill, quicksilver pill, TB.

They'd be nothing like level 60, and could still be owned individually by fair odds depending on player skill or quite easily owned with slightly unfair numbers especially considering tactics and loadouts.

The reason level 60s own so much is because a) their resistances are scaled much higher and b) admin characters can level up styles past 50. It wouldn't be close to anything like being Live Characters. I'm not going to go into whether I think this would be a good thing for the game or not because as it stands what is suggested would not achieve the effect you're looking for.

Whilst good in theory, this would add a certain amount of x factor or a wildcard into events, something which Rarebit doesn't have complete control over. Now while this may sound good, giving an element of player driven storyline, we need to remember that the story is quite rigid so anything that happens in an event would have direct consequences to the next part of the story... There could be certain types of event where this could be implemented quite well such as if players have to kill 'body guards' of the main character, that sort of thing...

Even if what Bayamo said wasn't true I would only think this was a good idea if the person(s) being given the buff had some maturity about themselves and who could act the part decently. Last thing Rarebit would want is for him to grant someone this 'buff' for them to mess up the event in some way or to disappear from the event as quick as possible to use the remaining time to go to Mara C and proclaim themselves PvP king in an attempt to gain more CQ's for their character.
