It's always fun to meet someone who has no idea who I am, other than some batty old lady they ran across, sitting on a park bench on the wrong side of town.

It's the young ones, mostly--the new ones, eyes freshly opened, feeling like kids in a candy store. They don't care much for history, or old ladies on park benches. They've got things to do! Places to go!

That's all right; I can understand that. Eventually, if they stick it out long enough, they'll have done everything they wanted, and gone every place they wanted to go, and then, maybe, they'll have time to come back and chat with me about it.

While we were in the area, we also performed some line maintainance for the apartment. After all, can't have Sati trying to paint in the dark. :smileywink:

Hehe...the 1st screenshot is funny: "...and who are you?"

Oh well, I hope to meet you someday, Oracle.

A couple things the Oracle said that I found very interesting...the first about the nature of Machine consciousness, and the second about the truce.  (Extraneous dialog edited from these portions of my chatlog.)

Tue Jul 11 17:59:50 2006 [Area] Atheros: *cough* I always wondered...*cough*

Tue Jul 11 18:00:16 2006 [Area] Atheros: About the Matrix and our interactivness with it.

Tue Jul 11 18:00:25 2006 [Area] Atheros: Is it changing in ways we don't see.

Tue Jul 11 18:00:27 2006 [Area] Oracle: Oh?

Tue Jul 11 18:00:32 2006 [Area] Atheros: Can't feel.

Tue Jul 11 18:00:44 2006 [Area] Atheros: Is it becoming it's own....person.

Tue Jul 11 18:00:55 2006 [Area] Oracle: Hm.

Tue Jul 11 18:01:36 2006 [Area] Oracle: The Machines are self-aware programs.

Tue Jul 11 18:01:48 2006 [Area] Oracle: But they don't have a "collective" intelligence, as some might think.

Tue Jul 11 18:02:04 2006 [Area] Oracle: Each program is an intelligent unit...more or less.

Tue Jul 11 18:02:42 2006 [Area] Oracle: They use lower-level programs as building blocks--for the city, and other things.

Tue Jul 11 18:03:03 2006 [Area] Oracle: Those programs are not self-aware... At least, not as they understand it.

and

Tue Jul 11 18:13:05 2006 [Area] Oracle: The Truce was my idea, I don't mind admitting.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:16 2006 [Area] Laurina: we are keeping gthe truce

Tue Jul 11 18:13:19 2006 [Area] Illyria1: I pray that the Truce holds.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:20 2006 [Area] Foxxdie: Any plans on improvement?

Tue Jul 11 18:13:20 2006 [Area] Laurina: this is our agenda

Tue Jul 11 18:13:21 2006 [Area] Oracle: Morpheus was a great help to me.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:29 2006 [Area] Zackattack: yes he was

Tue Jul 11 18:13:29 2006 [Area] DarksidePltchaos: Was your idea eh?

Tue Jul 11 18:13:32 2006 [Area] CrashKill: I pray something happens soon.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:39 2006 [Area] Aymnot: how did morpheus help with the truce, more exactly?

Tue Jul 11 18:13:47 2006 [Area] Illyria1: Well, he did find Neo.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:49 2006 [Area] Foxxdie: He found The One, Aymnot.

Tue Jul 11 18:13:58 2006 [Area] Oracle: Yes, exactly, Foxxdie.

Tue Jul 11 18:14:11 2006 [Area] Oracle: The prophet was needed, to find the savior.

Tue Jul 11 18:14:18 2006 [Area] Zackattack: oracle what happend to morpheus?

Tue Jul 11 18:14:27 2006 [Area] Aymnot: but afterwards he wanted to find him again, if you catch my drift, and that was pretty much against the truce

Tue Jul 11 18:14:29 2006 [Area] Oracle: It took some work to set all that up.

Tue Jul 11 18:14:54 2006 [Area] Oracle: Yes, I'm afraid that he didn't take Neo's death very well.

Tue Jul 11 18:15:03 2006 [Area] Laurina: as we all do

Tue Jul 11 18:15:04 2006 [Area] muncheus: did anyone

Tue Jul 11 18:15:05 2006 [Area] DarksidePltchaos: How did you take it?

Tue Jul 11 18:15:13 2006 [Area] Oracle: His purpose had gone, and he found a new one, but it was...different.

The Truce was the Oracle's idea.  :robothappy:
