I was killed 3 times today in the Datamine construct by level 255 agents.  I read somewhere that you have to make sure to look at your compass in order not to get ganked.  But my compass/agent meter is always blank and level 255 agents spawn out of no where.  Unless that it was a data spawn, then I will shut up.

Just a wild guess but my money would be on them spawning because the system detects unauthorized activity... IE Data Mining SMILEY

I think if you have the data scrambler 0.4 they just fall over

You have a % chance of them spawning on you each time you tap a node, it's not after a certain amount of time in data mine.

In datamine they attack you.

If you have a data scrambler .4 it says in the details that it has a much higher chance of spawning agents on you. It gets annoying after you have been in the construct for 1 minute and an agent spawns on you.

I was in Datamine for a few hours lastnight. An agent spawned once, but I never saw a change in the meter/Compass. Even when it began to spawn and I jumped away, I checked the meter. No change. So in the new spot the agent persisted to spawn. No change in meter. So I left and came back.

My guess is that it is bugged or never worked in the first place.

...no, it's a random % chance to get and Agent spawn on you each time you successfully tap a node with a data scrambler 0.4.

Guys.

Using data scrambler 0.4, you have a chance of spawning an Agent when tapping nodes.

That Agent will not leave you alone.

How many times do we have to post this in this thread?

The original question was about the compass/ agent meter. Evenif it is a random % one would think the meter would warn the player since that is the apparent purpose of it. What the hell is the problem about discussing that?

Calm down, no need to get angry.

The Agent meter on the compass is used for a different spawning system for the 255 Agent. It's used for restricted areas, and data mine isn't a taggable/restricted area. They didn't intend for it to work like restricted areas.

But that's the game....

Another thing is, I seen an agent spawn before I even started to tapping nodes, it's that in % of spawning just for having the 0.4 on you?

That reminds me of the wise words of Michael Scott.  "The hand strikes and gives a flower."
