Y'know... I've never had a single problem with my 360.

My super nintendo has been running smoothly since 1996 SMILEY

I read that on yahoo too. A better question would be does it still scratch your games beyond recognition? I don't want my brother to have to buy oblivion for the 3rd time

I've had to have mine repaired twice, but havn't had a problem since then. I'm aware of the fact that nothing works perfectly in life so it didn't bother me considering they repair the problem for free, as far as I'm concerned it's still the king console out there.

Irrelevant to me. My 360 refuses to break even after being covered in hot coffee.

Nice, although mine only died once, 3 rings (graphic issue). Its to bad though, that first year or two they lost a lot of potential sales due to it. Guess Microsoft finally learned how to fix their stuff though, better late than never.

I'm on my third Xbox 360.

My original had a good 1 year run or so before it was attacked by disc drive malfunction and RROD, both of which are apparently common, and I figured I might as well just buy a new one instead of wasting money repairing a used one. The 2nd one I bought didn't work the day I brought it home, so I got a 3rd one for free.

I might use some money I've saved up for a while to fix the original one, but at the rate these things break who knows if it's worth it.

Didnt they add 3 years warranty to any console that suffered from the RROD.

it might still be returnable and repaired for free.
