Figured I'd start one for whenever I do some random images here and there.  This'll fade into obscurity and then get resurrected whenever I have the time!  Hope you enjoy your stay.  :)

And here's my first one!

Also available in: [1280x1024]

It's my first venture into background size images and I'm pretty pleased with it, other than my unsteady hand causing some choppy lines.

Interesting - What did you do to make the haze around the figure?

I took a size 200, maybe 250, soft brush and painted around the outside of her with white.  To get in-between the legs and the arms, I made duplicate layers of just those areas and used the same sized brush on the inside of the arms and legs and then cropped it to just have the arms and legs and then I upped the opacity on them because the brush was too big to fit in there but still gave the right depth of the haze I wanted..

So I had 4 layers:

  1. Haze around the outside.
  2. Haze in between the left arm and body cropped so nothing else was shown: opacity 50%ish
  3. Haze in between the right arm and body cropped: opacity 50%ish
  4. Haze in between the legs cropped from waiste down so nothing else was shown: opacity 50%ish.

Then I did some brightness/contrast adjustments that helped blend the sides into the background.  :)
