Steam is reporting that they have teamed up with SOE to offer EverQuest®, EverQuest® II, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes® and Pirates of the Burning Sea™ from Steam. I think this is a cool little move. Too bad they didn't put MXO in to the mix, oh well. Read the full news story here.

Now, you would think that MxO would benefit from the exposure with new players, but if it isn't even worth the advertising on Steam, then I honestly don't think the point of this MMO is to get new players. Again, not surprised, but disturbed. This isn't a good sign for the future of the game, and that's beyond the debate about how solid or "good" the game may or may not be. If the production company isn't behind it, none of it matters, not to the outside world at least.

Yeah, YOU. Get us on Steam please! I'm tired of MxO getting the shaft on these kinds of promotions.

wow I find it funny and not the least bit suprised! The funny part being that neither SWG and PS are also on the list to be offered.

What's funny is how they give us absolutely no love, EVER... yet they continue to push Vanguard and that POS game Pirates of the Burning Sea. Any SOE graphic they make... no MxO. Any promotional ad... no MxO. Any promotional item given out at Fan Faire... no MxO. This is getting really forking old.

Honestly, I think SOE just wants MxO to die out. I wish they would change my mind and do this, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm Zippy the Squirrel, and I approve this message. MxO for Steam, and Code Nuts for MxO. Buy code nuts! Code Nuts, the Matrix is full of 'em. ... <_<
