Well I Thought That I Would Try And Get This Fixed Before I Enter The Game Card Info Into The Billing Page So I Can Have The Ability To Use The Forums In Their Entirity (SP?)

well heres the problem, for a long time i could not make new threads, and only respond to cirtain threads.
then i got the ability to make threads in cirtain forum sections (like RSI, Vector-General) and respond to only cirtain threads.
now i can creat threads almost anywhere but i cant respond to any threads at all.
i also cant set an avatar... dont know if that is because of my rank or if its a bug, i liked having an avatar but then when i went to change it, all the controls for it went away, so basicaly what i am saying is, i wont enter this game card info into the billing page untill the forum problems get fixed, not so much the avatar one cause i think thats just rank... but the other major ones....

thankyou for your time and thankyou for helping me...

Guessing from your post you don't have an active subscription at the moment which could quite easily be the cause of most of the forum problems you've got (since on the lithium boards people without active subscriptions couldn't post at all) but since the forum ranks/permissions are screwed up still, then you are only limited by so much.

So, activating your subscription should solve most of the problems with any luck, if they don't then you'll need to pm raijinn/walrus.

About Avatars though, Raijinn recently posted that they wern't supposed to be activated and wern't likely to be activated, so unless that changes then no you won't be able to have an avatar.

Raijinn has been notified by The Jurymen that some people can only post new topics and not reply.
That is related to the currently  "boned" ranks.

The no Avatar issue... Jeffers is correct. If you set one before they were locked then lucky you... if not they probably won't be re-enabled so... SMILEY

And before you start  with the "but you have an avatar! no fair!" those with avatars will most likely have them reset to blank when the issue is solved.

*Wishes he could use the easy button to get rid of every normal users avatar...*

Right now your account is not active and that like said above is why you have such limited functions. If I'm correct you shouldn’t even have the right to post but that’s another bug in the system.

See I don't get this restricting Avatar nonsense. Why restrict it when sigs aren't? If someone is likely to "abuse" their avatar by posting porn or something, then they are bound to do the same with their larger sig! Again, if it's a problem of having them stored on SOE's server, that "function" could just as easily be removed from the code as "switching off" the Avatars.

So why even have this fuss of not allowing avatars if sigs are allowed? It's pointless. If you turn one off, then the other should be turned off too.

Moderators can edit out sigs and can't edit out avatars without having to get one of the administrators to look into it, thats the only reason I can think of.

Then that's what they should be fixing. Which again, would be just as easy as any other change. Just a little copy of the edit function for sigs, a little modification to apply to avatars.... Really, there is no need to just remove a function - unless the people "coding" these forums aren't able to code.
