I would think it means they are increasing the chances of getting the new level 50 weapons from the three chevs.....
I'd like further explanation also..This week I farmed the lvl 53s in dm for an hour and got the same lvl 50 enhanced shirt 3 times..wonder if this was a part of the issue.

if reprogramed idea is true that would be nice the mission npcs in criticals are rare i dont know anyone atleast in my faction whos picked up a weapon from criticals yet.

and on a side note cant wait for  sati's play ground i got the next two days off so  this will be nice.

D-ar... Due to a cascade of the usual minor snafus, it falls to me to tell you that the update has currently been pushed back by one day. So, at the moment we're shooting for release of update 61 on Friday (June 27th).

Yes, get it right the first time.  Later and working is better than on time and broken. I'm glad you cought what went wrong in time.

Further explanation please.
When you defeat an enemy the game makes a probability roll and a random roll.  Then it uses these numbers to look-up the loot tables for that level and type of enemy.  The probability roll determines the tier (common to rare) and the random roll determines which item from that tier.  ThreatModifiedRewardRule acts on the probability roll depending on the difference between your level and the NPC level.  It's essentially the same system that prevents high level players getting the top drop from hideout bosses and Dernick.  Of course, since our level cap is 50 but our NPCs can be anything up to 255 the modifier rule has a restrictive side-effect on what kind of loot you could recieve from killing some NPCs.

^ Specifically speaking, currently one and two-chevron SSR guards in Datamine are dropping Gum 100% of the time, if you're eh equal to or below (or is it one or two levels below and lower? oh well something like that) their level. One chevrons were supposed to max out at 25% drop chance, and two-chevrons were supposed to max out at 50% drop chance.

So yeah get your gum farming in before the update. :p

Not to get to tech kinky Rare,but do you see this affecting the avg loot tables overall?After all I'm an aspring pro golfer not a dev SMILEY

So yeah get your gum farming in before the update. :p

On my alt (level 35) I noticed that if I farmed the level 37's they would drop gum everytime.

ThreatModified is really only supposed to be set in a few particular level-limiting cases (like the Gum, and dungeon boss loot drops), so in *theory* the change shouldn't have any effect on your average everyday loot drop.

Looks pretty good, though I'm going to be very displeased if the new clothing has Thrown accuracy/damage buffs on it. SMILEY
