If I could say one thing on this matter, it's that the devs should definitely not be announcing the releases of patches so early. If you think it's going to be last thursday I'd say give yourselves an extra week, and then if everything's set by last thursday, release it early, people will be happy. That way it's either early or on time, and not late, which really pisses us off.

You know, when I woke up today, yawned, blinked my eyes a few times and heard the world squeek, I thought, "Hmmm. That's weird...never heard existence make THAT noise before."

Now it all makes sense.

Rare...I not gonna lie: Not too pleased right now. But...awwww, dangitall, I can't stay mad at YOU...Just LOOK at him.

fix it quick or die.

I am personally happy with the announcements of upcoming patches when they think they are going to get in on the table.

  1. People already should know that there will most likely be a delay, especially the vets.
  2. If there is a delay, be happy, you know that t hey are fixing something.
  3. What if it is announced, "We are going to have the patch tomorrow, it is completely ready, 100% guarentee." and all goes wrong at the very last minute. I think I would be more upset and in a lot of cases with other people, very pissed off it that happen instead of having the patch announced sooner + delays because through the first method you were ver so close.
  4. Show RareBit some respect, you are never going to see a dev in another game actually admit something like this to the community and I bet if most of you were in his position you would have kept your little mouths zipped too.
  5. Bye bye. SMILEY

i know i came off really negative im my previous post and i would first like to appologise for it.SMILEY

The main reason everone is a bit snappy is because this is one mind blowing patch, dangling on the end of a hook, just being snatched away at the last minute, so its undestandable that people are going to loose their cool.

big ups man for doing a great job and put the patch out right rather than quickly SMILEY SMILEY

Same goes for the rest of the developement team SMILEY

Out of curiosity, could you explain at all to us just -how- you broke the world by fixing the white hallways?  I'm really interested in this now.

Did trying to enter the world with a character cause it to crash, or did all the buildings turn inside out, or was everything except instanced zones suddenly an instanced zone, or did thousands upon thousands of Tengu spawn at every point in the Matrix?

I have 2 theories:

1. He was a renegade angel who was thrown out of heaven. He cut his wings off, passed through a special archway and was forgiven for his sins. On being killed, probably by Walrus, he was allowed to re-enter heaven thus proving Alanis Morissette wrong and undoing reality!!

or

2. He was carrying the world from the kitchen to the living room when Jurymen didn't hold the door for him. The door swung back, hit Rarebit in the arm and the world slipped out of his hand.

Now he's covering for Jurymen!SMILEY

Oh, that's alright, I could always pass the time by playing Starcraft Ghost.

Oh, yes, subtle humour.

Broke the entire world?!?!?!?

You've managed to accomplish, in one tiny little fix, what the Assassin and all the Sleepers couldn't accomplish with all their evil might!

You are mighty, powerful and very evil. I condemn you to face the Zerg at Mara C and if you survive that, eat rarebit for the very first time!

Hes the Lead Dev. I fancy that if he wanted to, he could very well survive that Zerg SMILEY

Although Update 46 has been unfortunately delayed yet again, we bring you in its stead this wonderful thread, in which you can discuss what a nitwit Rarebit is for BREAKING THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD while trying to fix one last annoying White Hallway bug, thus providing us all with a small means of filling the yawning hole in all our lives the next two days of delay will bring.

Excelsior!

Take your time. Oh and  Rarebit... and I guess if it's you that broke it we can let it slide... this one time SMILEY

I'm glad, actually well beyond glad to see you're not taking the Microsoft way,

    Send it broke,
         why?
    cause that's our due date!
        but it's broke.
     Fix it in a Patch!

  Rather see quality over that^

Take your time, you've given us enough Juicy goodness with the announcement, if we have to wait a few days, weeks, even months as long as it's working SMILEY I don't think we'll mind.  (atleast you know I won't SMILEY)

Better done right than done over (and that would mean more downtime, and more upset gamers)

The delay works for me, too. I'm currently on vacation, so I'll get back just in time to enjoy the patch. w00t!

LMFAO!

nice one Rarebit SMILEY
If you're going to screw things up might as well do it apocalypse style.

If it makes you feel any better I just finished restoring our financial system from back up... I just did a data import that was meant to be an export... so I overwrote the existing good data (12 years of accounts and sales data) with the bad backup data (the words "some stuff goes here ;P"SMILEY... so yeah I just took our whole company down nationally.

On the upside... the database was much smaller SMILEY
