Why even have them when our Regen is Cut by like -90% in combat by EOC..  u only Regen by tiny amounts, and it makes  some items not worth wearing, Making Certain drops with IS and Health Kinda Worthless.. Most people go Accuracy,Damage or Resistance nowadays so y not bring back the Regens into the game. i c the point in not having it to high but its Wayyy to low Right now IMO

**Edit: it might not be -90% its some where around there tho cant check right now cuz im in work**

The IS regen and health regen  bonuses dont even work currently so if they ever get around fixing that maybe that will change things.  That makes Vitality, abilties and any clothing that give these bonuses useless.  If those were working it would definately help.

In fact the regen influences do work. The issue is the lack of regen attributes available to players currently.

Or perhaps a better analogy would be Turbo chargers make engines run faster. MxO lacks an engine but has plenty of Turbo Chargers.

so seraphim shoes, widows lenses, sakura bandana, dragonskin, etc etc don't work? bc it seems like my IS regenerates ALOT faster with them on

There are items that provide the IS regen attribute called Innerstregnth Regen Rate (engine) and then there are items that provide the Influence (turbocharger).

The Sakura head wear for example provides the Attribute, your Vitality provides the Influences as well as various Hacker abilities like Execute Program for example.

they Do work but the health Regen gets a heafty EOC Debuff making it kinda Stupid to have those clothes on in combat thats all... i personally think it souldnt be as steep as it is right now.

In other words only the IS and health regen bonuses dont do anything right now.  The seraphim shoes, sakura bandana etc have IS regen rate which does work.

I think the MxO maths system to calculate these things can be kinda confusing.

All the values applied are an "Absolute" influence based on the initial value of 100%.

So in combat state you get -80% to a total of 20%.

On go the Seraphims with a +20% bonus, so in combat your health regen rate is 40%, double what it would be without seraphims so it does make a difference. In drawn out duels and PvP I have seen it really make a difference.

Same thing for people wearing WM lenses, Sakura Bandana and Seraphims. Total they give you something like +45%. So in combat state you end up with +65%, over 3 times better than if you were without these things.

The health regen and IS regen bonuses do work, theres just very few abilities in this game that have those bonuses applied to them. As a simple way to remember, unless there is an icon under your hotbar showing that buff then the % bonus will do nothing. This means the only way to get an advantage out of health and IS regen rate bonuses you'll need to load patcher and apply the health regen buffs to yourself or allies. Same thing with IS regen, but thats linked to some hacker trees where the IS regen bonus is attached to some of the title buffs.

i have i think all of the is regen clothing in the game and with abilites and clothes my is regen is 87% in combat it lowers it by 80% so what the clothes do is take away the penalty that interlock gives you thus making you more of a threat in IL. it does work quite well BTW SMILEY

You should let me borrow that mask while your on other toons Riacs! You can trust me!! lol

Seriously though, thanks to 9mm for clarifying the diffrences. Wasn't aware to how deep the issues were or the relation between regen rate and regen bonuses.

My quick impressions based on a small amount of test data:

No regen -> +2 / 3 health per second in IL
20% regen -> +5 health per second in IL
45% regen -> +9 health per second in IL

Difference = 6 / 7 HPS

IL round = 4 seconds

4 * 7 = 28 health per interlock round. Now you have to compare that to how much health you save by using resists instead. For me, it's really just not worth the effort of trying to increase your health regen rate.

IS is a different matter altogether though.
