When I try to enter full screen my monitor goes blank. After a while it goes back to the windowed mode. This started happening when i tweaked up the settings from the Catalyst Control Center. I restored the settings back to factory settings and it's still the same. Help?  :smileysad:

I reinstalled my graphics drivers and that did the trick :smileyhappy:

Thanks for the update. It's odd that a system restore to an earlier point did not put the graphics drivers back to that state for you. What version of the drivers are you using, on what graphics card, in case others run into a similar problem?

The problem is caused by a screen refesh speed that the monitor can't handle.
Resetting the driver customizations doesn't change the monitor settings back.

I take it you restored the driver settings, not a windows system-state restore.

reinstalling the drivers would have done an auto-detect that would automatically set themonitor to it's optimal safe defaults (typically 60Hz refresh speed)
