Furor later went on to work as a Quest designer in WoW

Hats off to keeping SoE in their place.

WoW Sucks. :smileytongue: That game is extremely easy and geared towards 10 year olds. I hate it. I loved it when I started....but 3 months into it......it sucks.

It may be boring to some but it certainly isn't geared towards 10 year olds like WoW is. The graphics in that game are really what turns me off. I just can't get immersed in that game. Don't get me wrong....WoW is actually the pinnacle of old school MMORPG's. As is Everquest II. EQII is just prettier. Long Live The MxO! :smileyvery-happy: The community here is what other MMORPG's wish they had. No other games come close. Plus.....it's the Matrix man! :smileyhappy:

I have to agree with Ghostwise. I have quit and re-started WoW multiple times, but it always ends up with me, being bored or annoyed with all the immature little kids running around (which is a problem with a lot of MMOs) . Immersion, to me, is the most important factor in an MMO because that is what keeps me around for a long time; MxO has that. Also, that website is only good for flame wars, on there, and causing them on other forums.

sometimes people ignore rational thoughts posted.

I have some posted here and they are being ignored at this very moment.

Drama sells. Even if you dont buy a ticket for it.

And sometimes, just sometimes, who really needs to explain something when a simple rant/flame does the same, with more expressed feeling.

What Furor and his guild did for EQ, I am glad that some elite players had a voice that majority could agree to and no matter how hard they try not to, devs had to.

While I'll admit that FoH caused quite a few issues with EQ to get fixed over the years, overall their presence (and that of the other "uber" guilds) mostly just caused the game to become ever more orientated towards pleasing the top 1% of the player base.

Am I personally glad that "elite players" had a voice in EQ? Not particularly. I wish they would've listened to everyone else, too.

WoW is underrated by a lot of players here. I am a matrix fan however i will not pay 10 quid a month for nothing but forum access because the actuall game is so boring. So i moved to WoW and i can say immediately, that the game has far more content and is just plain better at the moment with what you can do in the game. The graphics are actually underrated as well, the landscape and scenery is very beautiful at times and it does feel like your character is running through a very realistic elven forest at times. Matrix could be better, but wont be made better by SoE that much is clear to me(personally) in their recent actions, all that kept me here was the community and even it is starting to die.
