Now there's 2 of those things? Seeing them battle was pretty sweet. Any theories as to what's going on?

I think it's interesting that we're now faced with two of them inside the city... and it's even more interesting that they know each other.

Yeah, this is really starting to get interesting. Obviously they will be working against each other but for the benefit of who?

I seem to doubt they want either of them in.
As for who the Intruders are working for, it's easy: themselves. They don't care about the politics of the Matrix. If they aren't working for themselves, they're working for someone we haven't heard of yet. Someone (some people?) very powerful who considers the war between New Zion and Zero-One as a mere scuffle of no consequence.

My answer wasn't based on whether the machines want them in, but your points are still valid. But if introducing another one into the matrix makes the fight between themselves, it benefits the machines, it would seem.

I'm not so sure. So far the original Intruder ran around affecting programs. His attentions may now be diverted away from that, but scuffles between multiple Intruders are going to cause physical harm to the Matrix. They're going to fight each other with no regard to Bluepills, Redpills, programs or the Mega City's structural integrity.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. In one respect, Halborn will take his focus off the Mechs for a little, but on the other hand, his interest in Carlyne can cause much instability if they have all out brawls in the middle of MegaCity.

As long as the quality is on-par with the original south park episodes I wouldn't mind that so much.

I still say that it is just a matter of monitoring the information flow in the area that the Intruder [or not Intruders] are located, and back tracking the information to whatever console is being used to direct the wire-frame man.
