Heya MxO community!

I'm considering trying to get into this game, however by the looks of things it seems like a very bad idea.

However I would still like to give it a go. But before I get into it there are a few things that I need to know.

1. Which is the largest server?

2. What are a few respectable clan/guilds?

3. Where can I find some good guides to learn about the important things in the game.

Syntax is generally the most populated.

Exploits, The Pride, The Black Code and Dark Evolution are some of the more active established factions right now.

Guides can be found variously on these forums or on resource sites like mxomainframe.

The answers to your other questions are on these forums also.

I created a toon on Syntax, but /who is only picking up 3 people, including myself .....................................

Time of day is always a factor. Shouldn't be to long, especially syntax, to pick up. This time is normally always quiet (annoying when you don't work ha ha) but as the night approaches and the wee hours kick in, Americans come on aswell as the drunk Euro's having a laugh

/who is only a good guide as to who is in that area you're in. MegaCity is quite a big place, with lots of farming to do.

Is there any command that lets me search server wide?

Also is there a guild that I can join that will show me the ropes?

No theres no command. Just doing /who in certain areas unfortunately.

Guilds=Factions in mxo. Go to the middle of the forums you will see world forums. All 3 servers have there own spots. Go to the recruitment section. You will find all sorts of different factions. Depending on what Organization you are wanting to go with. Etc...

Heres the linkage...

1. Syntax has the Largest population, Vector-Hostile is the PvP Server (You will be flagged permanently from level 16), and Recursion is like Syntax but has a tiny close knit community remaining.

2. Respectable Guilds in the following order Syntax,Vector,Recursion, these are a select few that are all known on there home servers i'm not sure on a few of them on how they spend there time ingame, there are a handful of respectable factions these are only a few and you'll often find the best ones arent the ones that need to spam a link to there websites recruitment page in every thread made by a new player.

  • Exploits-Cyph (PvP)
  • The Black Code - Zion (PvP and Roleplay)
  • Blacklisted - Merovingian (PvP and Roleplay)
  • Systematic Chaos - Machines (PvP and Roleplay)
  • Twisted Titans - Epn (PvP and Roleplay?)
  • Dark Evolution -  Merovingian (PvP and Social)
  • Unleashed - Machines (PvP and Social)
  • Exemplar Triune - Zion/Merv/Machine (Roleplay and Social)
  • Familia Grigori - Merovingian (Roleplay)

3. There's a game guide section on the forums somewhere i think in the Redpill rescue forums there's a compacted guide of many guides, but in my opinion it's always best to learn something from another player or learn how to do it yourself as this makes the game more enjoyable.
