Friends,
We were very fortunate to have the famed Seraph visit Viraconrida and friends at a dojo in the International District. He endeavored to answer questions they had concerning Anome, and was then kind enough to spar with some of the operatives, giving them many fine examples of his unmatched martial arts prowess. He even condescended to duel this humble servant of yours. At one point I nearly thought I had him, but upon reflection, I think he was allowing me to grow overconfident, in order to teach me a valuable lesson.
I know that I and the other operatives lucky enough to be there learned much that day. Seraph is a perfect example, friends, of the purity of action and thought that characterizes the very finest warriors. Let us do what we can to follow his example. I know that this will help us achieve the peace for which we yearn so dearly.
In sleep we shall meet again--

Cryptos said that Serpah fought Smith, but I don't recall that in the movies. Was that in the Animatrixs?

No, not animatrix.. never seen Seraph beat Smith but there was a part of the one movie when Oracle had Seraph take Sati out of the room because the Smiths were coming. When the Smiths found Seraph and Sati, Seraph said "I've beaten you before.." and Smith said something like "I know but as you can see things are a little different now".. something along those lines anyway.

See, that just confuses thing futher. If that is true, then wouldn't The machines decide that Smith was an obsolete program and replace him with an Agent that can beat Seraph. Unless beating Seraph wasn't Smith purpose, but his purpose was to get rid of The One AKA Neo. But yea, now that I think about it I remember that part.

Well if he actually beat Smith... why/how did Smith still exist afterwards? Why did they fight? I heard long time ago that Seraph could possibly be one of the past Ones but... that's highly unlikely. Seraph was probably just doing what he does best, protecting or guarding something or someone and was in the way of Smith... maybe protecting a past One. Who knows!

Well we do know that Seraph was an Angel in the first verison of The Matrix, and after that he became an exile, since he no longer had a purpose. The Seraph story is very intresting, alot of theories floating around about him, some say he was a past one, another say that he was an Angel, another say that he was a former Agent. etc. The Devs really should devote a chapter to the story of Seraph.
