I just tried out the Zero One Taskmaster with a few different loadouts, and it did not go very well.

He seems to have an incredible amount of damage resistance, to the point where moves like Full Auto Redux only do about 70 damage to him.  He regenerates far faster than you can damage him.  His offensive capabilities are about right, he is dangerous, but not overwhelmingly so.  His defense just seems to be a bit over the top.  This should be addressed now, as the behavior of uber-NPCs becomes very important in Pandora's Box.

P.S.  My Patch Daemon did about 6 damage per shot to him.  I know its only a Patch Daemon, but he is level 50.

In the next update all the construct bosses and the CrestonHeights exile hideout boss are getting a make over to address some issue with difficulty.

Must be bugged then.  As a level 50 duelist my strongest attack does like 60 damage to him.  Piston kicks for you did over 700dmg.  Something isnt right.

That has to be before the damage was balanced.  Try that now and watch what happens.  Thanks for the speedy reply NoRepro.

Good news. I tried to solo the
Sakura Tengu (level 50) as a level 38 both before and after update 6. Before update 6 this was do-able. He did hit me for 1000+ with normal attacks, but he only hit me 3 times, and I was able to eventually defeat him (only doing ~200dmg). After update 6 I wasn't even able to touch him, and IF I did I only hit for 6-12 dmg.  My specials did MAYBE 20. And he was still hitting me for 1000+...

This problem seems to be fixed with Update 7.  The Taskmaster is still very hard to damage, but he is killable, it just takes awhile, and you have to be careful not to die.:smileywink:

Were you fighting him solo?

Also, has anyone tried taking on the other construct bosses since the most recent patch?

Well  I tested the lvl37 (why 37????) Gargoyle with my lvl28 in Ashencourte..

So the mobs (lvl25) are no problemo, with their free fire attacks they just did like 4 dmg to me.. I could easily kill them (even larger groups). But then Gargoyle.. (blinded by the success about the lvl25 mobs I went to get him) first he hit me with his weapon.. just 37 dmg and I was like wohooo.. time to pwn! (I was using Karate with a lil' bit of Kung-Fu) So I tried some Melee Free Fire and I hit... for 9 dmg... um. So I tried Interlock.. Same thing here, I couldn't hit him for not more than 10 dmg with speed and not more than 25 with some specials (didn't get to use piston kicks) and he did 516 dmg to me with every 'Blood Drink' attack (what he did 2 times) and around 100-150 dmg with his speed/power/grab attacks. Hm.. well I was trying to solo him and I'd say this isn't possible.. (from my point of view).. but with a larger group it should be (see, the problem is.. when I happened to hit him I don't do enough dmg and he just regenrates it before I can land the newxt hit.) - anyone interested for some more testing? SMILEY

To answer HCFrog, yes I was able to solo the Taskmaster with a bit of difficulty (Health Pills are a must), but he is easily defeated with a team of two or more.  The odd thing is, with a team, he seems to do far less damage.  It could be because we killed him so much quicker, but he never got me below 50% health when I had one person behind me, where I came close to dying about 3 times when I solo'ed him.

I spent some time trying to kill the Taskmaster in 01 today as a level 50 duelist using bedlams.  I had no problem hitting him but the damage was only around 30-55 or so I ran out of innerstrength way before I could kill him.  I got his health down to about 80% before my is ran out.

Heres my innerstrength stats:
Innerstrength Regen Rate: 5.5575
Max Innerstrength: +45pts
Innerstrength Regen Rate: +15%
Innerstrength Cost Modifier Bonus +21%
Max Innerstrength Bonus +18%

With infinite innerstrength he would have been killed but it would have taken me about 15 mins or more to do it.
Id like to bring a team here and see if we could take him down.  Anybody up for it?

Mixed Duelist/SMGs.  The real key to a quick takedown is to have one other person freefiring him to cause the appropriate state for your power moves.  I stayed on Speed attack and had a friend using Grab from freefire.  I was able to go back and forth between Pistol Whip, Dual Pistol Point Blank, Full Auto Redux, Dual Pistol Execution, and Pistol Aerial and take him apart in no time.  The Vector code-launcher really helps with IS regen.  In terms of stats, I am pure gunman with full Focus and Perception.
