Is ti possible the number of mission objectives has an effect on mission xp as well?

Sure, I guess. I had some idea that it did, but I'm not really sure.

It does, normal missions only have a max of 3 mission areas.  However if you do the crits that have 4-5+ Area's you will notice that your xp goes to 450-550k.  This is especially true for the archive missions.

Oh, I meant that I had some hazy idea in the past that if a phase had, say, five objectives to complete, you would get more XP for that phase than you would for one with, say, one objective. I don't know if that's actually the case, though.

Ah, asked NoRepro, and he says that it used to, but it was exploitable, so now number of objectives per phase doesn't alter the XP reward.

Thanks for checking that out Rarebit.

Now the real important question.

What's your favorite bread for dipping in the gooooooey rarebit, Rarebit?

Did you know that if machinists do escort missions downtown, sometimes you escort agents?

It doesn't make a great deal of sense to me:

a)Agents don't need to travel (just pop in and out of a nearby bluepill)

b)Agents don't, or at least shouldn't need my protection

It's not 'cause it's in Downtown, specifically, just that the follower is set to be a Machine program scaled to your level, and your level is pretty high, so it gives you the high-level Machine NPC type, which is an Agent. I agree that it's a little quirky.

What was the most... Successful occurance, fictional or real, during your time working on the Matrix Online?

On the megacity map there are other areas of town highlighted but not currently built. Do you guys ever plan to add these areas in an update?

Thanks a lot (from a newbie!)

The game launched, unlike most prospective MMOs? I guess I don't really keep track of things in terms of absolutes like that, though.

If you upload your avatar it is converted to a .png to save server space. If you link to your avatar then it can be whatever format you like (within reason). Only avatars that are linked to offsite can be animated.

Ah that explains it. So, I went to my profile and removed my avatar, so that I could link it instead, but now I have NO avatar options at all...

I think I just owned myself...

I just un-grandfathered myself out of having an avatar, didn't I? SMILEYSMILEY

Not sure if somebody already asked this, but im going for it.

Recent news on the MxO website said that "SOE aquired the assests of Worlds Apart Productions". I found something very intersting...

"SOE-Denver’s core technologies have far-reaching potential, such as the ability to integrate board or card games into existing SOE online games, as well as the creation of new games altogether."

Now, can we ever expect to have the ability to play chess with The Chessman or make the Casino Exile Hideouts a bit more interesting? SMILEY

"The" issue? Where did... Oh, wait a sec... Ah yes, the Looking Glass.

I think the one he was thinking of was the one where, depending on where you went into the White Hallways, when you come out, you may be in a dead-end room. If you try leaving through the one available door, and the mission is still active (ie you went back to the city without leaving the mission team or aborting the mission), you'll be teleported back to the White Hallways--so basically, you can't get out until you leave the mission team, or die and reconstruct.

While looking at that today (they were going to try to make me fix it by moving the doors--ha! we found there are way more than we thought), I found another fun issue, whereby if you stumble through a door that is one of the doors in the world that can take people to the white hallways, while on a white hallway mission of your own that was started in a different district, you get teleported to your current district's white hallways, with nowhere to go.

While these are easily avoidable and escapable if you know what's going on, Walrus is concerned that they'd result in a lot of confusion, ccrs, etc. So he wants to see if we can get those fixed.

And with this reply, I ending this thread. Fare thee well, dear thread. You have served us well, but you are too grand, too vast in scope, for these modern forums. Will we ever see your like again? We can but hope.
