Hi there,
It just occurred to me that in the "Enter the Matrix" game, the Oracle says about Sati that she is very important for both worlds.
Does anybody know exactly what she ment and or have any lead on the reason why that was said?
During the film the Oracle is seen showing Sati how to bake cookies. It has been speculated that the Oracle's cookies are actually representations of special Matrix-codes she makes (The Merovingian is capable of "programming" his own 'special' piece of cake that gave a woman an orgasm when she ate it). Thus the Oracle could have activated some new level of function and understanding in Neo when she gave him a cookie (and later a candy). Therefore the scene with Sati being taught this may imply that she is being kept by the Oracle not just to hide, but as a protege. It is worth noting that when Smith comes to assimilate the Oracle, Sati is escorted off by Seraph, whose self-stated purpose is to "...protect that which matters most."
The above is something I found but I am not 100% convinced...
Thanks,
I wish the brothers went into more depth about that to be honest, or I wish the game would. I mean sati is supposed to be this program that even Seraph considers more important than the oracle but when I look at what she can do, make a beautiful sky (unless thats forshadowing that she can affect the real sky) I cant help but wonder what's in those cigarittes the oracle is smoking.
The Oracle by definition is a program created to understand the human nature and emotions and Sati is a program created purely because of love, that means the machine are evolving to become more human like, they feel or, value the meaning of that word as Sati's fathers so eloquently put:
Rama-Kandra: No. I don't mind. The answer is simple. I love my daughter very much. I find her to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But where we are from, that is not enough. Every program that is created must have a purpose; if it does not, it is deleted. I went to the Frenchman to save my daughter. You do not understand.
Neo: I just have never...
Rama-Kandra: ...heard a program speak of love?
Neo: It's a... human emotion.
Rama-Kandra: No, it is a word. What matters is the connection the word implies. I see that you are in love. Can you tell me what you would give to hold on to that connection?
Neo: Anything.
Rama-Kandra: Then perhaps the reason you're here is not so different from the reason I'm here.
Sati, also displayed very uncanny powers, she control the sun but she has no purpose as a program, she just exist so the question is, is she omnipotent in the Matrix and is the Oracle teaching her to be "god"?
Sati is a god in the Hindu religion and the Hindu theme seems present all over the trilogy but my feeling is that while it has a greater role, she is probably the representation of the machines becoming more human, something like a spiritual evolution.
Well to me it's pretty obvious that she's vert important because of her "l1t3 c0d1ng sk1llz", but more important then the oracle? C'mon! She can code skyes and suns! Oh *poop*...Wait...Maybe she can like remove the skyes on the earth??? Which will actually cause the sun to shine?
Interesting...
Another thing to consider is that perhaps it was a refrence to the saying that children are the future.
I don't feel the Wachowski's dropped the ball on Sati. Sati, regardless of who played the Oracle, was going to appear in Revolutions. She is mentioned in EtM and plays a role here in MxO now. I feel that she will one day clear the dense fog and make the sun rise again in the Real. The Oracle says she is important to both worlds. In the Matrix, she creates a sunrise every Sunday to remember Neo and to practice her techniques. I assume that if done in the Real, much practice must be taken in order for it to go successfully. Also, as we see in the 6.1 cinematic, The General is interested in Sati for some reason as well. Depending on what you may think, people believe that The General is here to help humanity. Is the General interested in Sati for good intentions? Sati is an interesting character and I hope we find out more about her in the future.
That point is rather mood as The matrix reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions were intended to be released at the same time, but, as it was pointed out, the death of the orginal oracle died. Now you may figure that the new oracle only appears for perhaps a total of three to four minutes you have to realize that those three to four minutes took weeks of shooting to get the footage, the splicing, the affects that needed to be added and so forth. Not only that, but had to add the clips in which Sati appears and all that fun stuff.
I do believe that the brothers didnt drop the ball so much, but were under alot of pressure and with a deadline coming up rapidly. You also have to figure that the brothers didnt think there would be an MXO. They most likely figured the story was going to end, no need to explain Sati as she had served her purpose in the story which was to explain why the oracle had changed.
What would be interesting to know though is if the brothers left any instructions to better explain Sati to chadwick or if he was told to wing it as it does seem, in the last cinimatic, that something is starting to happen.
A rather dangerous possibility for MXO is if Sati CAN clear the sky in the real. If that happens the machines can switch to solar power again and release everyone in the pods. Perhaps Sati is the dev's solution for ending the game in a blaze of glory should that day ever arrive.
I don't see how Sati could clear the sky in the real world, unless she somehow figures out a way to control the little things up in the atmosphere that are blocking the sunlight.
Maybe she was 'that which matters most' because she was an AI conceived out of love, not some predetermined purpose. Or maybe it was because through meeting her, Neo learned that at least some Machines could love...which might have led to him coming up with a solution that saved both Zion and the Machines.
Illyria
Agent Gray,
You may not know me specifically, so let me introduce myself. My name is Walter Foxo my handle is ‘Iovai'. I am loyal crewless machinist of the Recursion instance. While speaking with the temporary liaison TAMIE I decided that it was my duty as a Machinist to devote all my resources to finding, and eventually eliminating missing liaison officer TIMCAMM. I feel that keeping a log of my progress and keeping you informed of course would prove useful.
Day 0
The meeting had just adjourned, and while you were dealing with the flame virus my colleague Anne McDernigan was invited to a covert Cypherite meeting where Veil debriefed her operatives. She confirmed Cypherite liaison operative Khursun's death and Exile TantaIos' involvement. McDernigan was then added to a ‘mailing list' of Cypherites participating in the TIMCAMM/Viraconrida investigation.
Meanwhile I met with the program designated TAMIE in the Tabor Park district. She informed me that until former liaison officer TIMCAMM is deleted, she would function as the liaison between the Machines and the humans.
Day 1
I started my investigation in Tabor Park, where I met TIMCAMM a few months back.
Towards the end of the investigation Anne McDernigan forwarded me a copy of the Cypherite evidence documents. It was then I realized that the probability that finding Viraconrida would lead to the discovery and deletion of TIMCAMM was high. Since I had exhausted all possible leads on TIMCAMM at that time I decided to travel to the Barrens and investigate the mentioned areas.
While I was investigating the Subway station where Viraconrida was seen recently I met Cypherite operative ‘Trucidus'.
I informed him that I was searching for Viraconrida for personal reasons and that his assistance would be appreciated. He directed me to the nearby ‘Club Dante'.
Inside, I found the exile program ‘Indigo'
Much like other exile scum he is a complete waste of system resources and for the record I think his deletion should be priority once the TIMCAMM, Anome, and ‘E Pluribus Neo' business is dealt with. After I finished with ‘Indigo' I was once again at a loss for where to go next. After careful thought I realized that the abandoned subway station was within the boundaries of ‘Sector 2' of the investigation's area.
I made my way into the station and encountered little resistance from the ‘Project Nine' exiles.
-END-
You will be kept will informed sir, I assure you.
May I ask what the hell Iovai's post has to do with this?
Unfortunately we don't know yet the full extent of Sati's capabilities and her eventual destiny. It's important to remember that she is the last exile, born of love and choice from her machine parents. She has the extraordinary ability to manipulate the Matrix as she sees fit. I would venture to presume that extends far beyond mere sunsets/rises.
Some questions have answers and hopefully this too shall be revealed.
