It's as if we're being......erased from existence.

And there's a perfect example of a popular trilogy that is now almost 25 years old. I watched this when I was a kid, and I hope many, many others get to watch it for decades to come, perhaps more.
I think that having access to any work of fiction that one is interested in is a basic right that everyone shares.
So does this free trial work for anyone yet? It keeps asking for my credit card and for a monthly sub.

What happens to all the code/data for The Matrix Online?Sony Online Entertainment and Warner Brothers will retain all of the code and data from The Matrix Online. Can someone open an emulated server for The Matrix Online?Sony Online Entertainment and Warner Brothers hold the copyrights for The Matrix Online stories and data so creating a fan owned and operated emulated MxO server would be against those copyrights.
Raijinn, sure maybe emulated Server are against the copyright, but we have payed for the game . It should be possible to provide the players are network-playable or stand alone playable version of the game .
Maybe in releasing the server files? Cause MxO went down forever, and nobody has the chance to jack in again, i think this issnt fair.
So is there any possibility to get these files or mxo working for themselve after the 31.07.?And is there maybe a plan to try to sell MxO to an another company?(like monolith it does to you)

That's a very good point. We have purchased the game. Therefore, if you don't provide us with a means of playing it offline, we should be able to demand a refund for it.

Didn't SOE give players the tools to make that emulated Pre-CU SWG server or was that just the developers of SWG?
Well I can't get the free trials to work...so anybody else want to try? Virrago said to email customer service. I know of 3 people who can't in, is everyone having problems?

Hmm..good question, i dont really know, but i think not.Hey i would be satisfied with a pre-CR2 Version of MxO and server files^^.That was before SOE had the copyright for it.The only chance what we have : asking developers of MxO Servers , means , Rarebit, Raijin, and the others that was fired after SOE takes MxO Over (there is a list on the internet who was worked for what in mxo).
Alright, I got a pm from Virrago saying to call customer support. Pick MxO and Account Billing. They told me that the free trial isn't automatically going into effect for some reason. Everyone with the problem has to call 1-858-537-0898 to get cleared up, they will submit a support ticket on your behalf and then they should fix your problem within the day
Dear SOE,
Yes, the rabbit hole was only so deep, but that it was shallower than a saucer of water at the end was mainly due to you hammering boards across the neck of it, preventing us little rabbits from creating a deeper burrow while the foxes were chewing at our arses. You threw us to the wolves when all possible avenues of feasability were not so much ignored as deliberately sabotaged.
In accordance with that, I would like to cordially wish that you go to hell and take your invitations for your other MMO's with you.
Yours sincerely,
Jim

To everyone I played the game with as these characters, I enjoyed your company very much guys and will miss you and the Megacity very much indeed. Unless you were Bullettoothtom of Unleashed on Recursion, in which case I'm profoundly sorry I never got you on your own in Datamine, like I promised I would, last year.
Don't waste logic on SOE mate, it was never something they responded to.
