Get rid of having to manually activate buffs!!

Having to activate these "buffs" is a joke. Should be automatic. Can a Dev please respond so we at least know if you're gonna consider this or not.

i cant remember how many times ive started to duel some one and got my *CENSORED* kicked cause i fogot to activate buffs

most definitely agreed. The combat system is tricky enough without having to remember to activate tertiaries.

I mean, it's just common sense that they'd be auto-switched, surely.

I am Eyes Without Face, and I approve of this thread.

The entire 'manual buff' thing seems more like sloppy coding than a 'feature' or is only a temporary thing to allow the devs to test very specific things.

I have a feeling that it won't stay this way, and if it does... well, that tells of very bad things to come in the future and it might be time for us to move on to a different game.

Manually activation is terrible.  Wastes time, mental effort and significantly detracts from the game experience.
 
Additionally, all those awakened abilities that I have loaded that have a duration of 20 seconds and a reuse timer of 28 seconds.. get rid of that crap and make them like the "Hyper" abilities - constanly running.  I don't care if you want to charge some IS, just don't make me keep using them.  Terrible.

Man this is just sad....


Release is a couple weeks down the road and you guys are here still begging to have the devs fix still critical things in CR2.  I have never seen the community agree as a whole like this.   When this many agree on the same thing like this, you know it has to be messed up devs.  Please listen to your clients are saying and not the SOE man looking over your soulder.  The Devs almost act like all of us will still be here and welcoming CR2 with open arms.

I've been on the test server for a total of 20 miinutes now.  I give all you guys here props for posting constructive thoughts to make this better for us all.  Personally I just can't stand it thought.  I know this is a work in progress, but it's just too frusterating for me to try and figure out all this CR2 shenanigans. 

Seriously, I like collecting items and would like that new baseball cap for my beta clothing collection, but I can't even stand CR2.  Once again, plese dont flame me, I know they'e still working on it.  But w/ the state it is in now, I don't think they can fix it in time.

SOE, I really hope you really understand the outcomes of the decisions you are making.

That is all.  Back to the live version to enjoy it while I still can.





oh yah, manually activating buff sucks.  So does 2 shots and your dead guns.  And the now confusing bonuses.  Flame away.  Sorry to break the streak of consecuative constructive posts.

You know what really pisses me off about this thread? You see Devs responding in other threads about the combat upgrade but none respond in this thread. Glad to see you really care about our thoughts and input about the new system.
 
And just to be clear, having to manually activating buffs is a joke. These buffs should be part of the abilities themselves, not something you have to activate.

Sniper, you are dead on (pardon the pun).  Devs seem to jump into a variety of other topics featuring both positive and negative views of the CR... but I haven't seen a dev jump into any of the topics revolving around this issue... and there have been many topics about this issue.

If the devs are so sure about this manual buff thing being the way to go, then I think they should come out and tell us why they feel that way.

I can only say that I have ABSOLUTELY NO problem with haveing to manually activate some buffs. Usually it's only one more mouseclick for me to activate all my buffs I want. Use some /MacroFu and you can even get all the hacker upgrades into one tiny little macro item. It's so easy.

And some upgrades HAVE to be activated manually all the time, because otherwise it would be too unbalanced with multiclassed loadouts.

If it was just some buffs no one would mind, but we have gone from the ridiculous to the sublime, the new system is terribly unweildy and when it comes to real hybrid trees virtually un-useable. it MUST be addressed BEFORE it goes live!
