I didn't want to believe it, maybe I was in denial. I knew this day was coming but didnt really try to think too much about it. I held on the naive hope that maybe you would be here till the servers got shut down, but I knew you wouldnt stay that long. You've made this place an amazing thing to be a part of Rarebit, and for that I give you my sincerest thanks for what you've done for us. No one will truely know the blood, sweat, and tears you poured out from within to create the little things that make The Matrix Online the experience that it is. I truely wish you all the best in the future and hope that whatever it is you plan for the future, please remember us in some way shape or form. I myself will be here like I have always said till the servers get shut down. If we do make it to the end of the year, try to stop by and say hello every once and while. Thank you for EVERYTHING you've done!
I want to end this with one of my fondest memories of The Matrix Online. Goodbye Rarebit. You will be missed...
The Godfather has left the building....
Update 66... Friday 13th...
Both eerie and awesome.
On a serious note, when is Rare's leaving bash? You KNOW we have to throw him a party right? If anyone deserves it, it's him. Party organizers, DJs; lets pull this one together.

"First off, man, i'm really really sorry for the massive ammounts of flame and bullsh*t you had to read through as you began phasing yourself out without letting the community know the reason. I know it was necessary, and i know that you couldn't just have dropped the hammer, but i really think that it was unnecessary for you to hear all the negativity in your departure. You did not deserve it, and neither did this masterpiece of an universe, no, not just a game, a whole universe you've been trying so hard to keep alive. And now that you're going, we can't do much else than make insignificant attempts to express our love for all the hard work you've done. Friend, you perfectly know that our thankfulness can't be expressed in a single post, thread, letter or any ammount of text, so we may as well just keep this short. Thank you, for all you've done. Best luck, wherever you go, whatever you do. As i understood from your post, you are unsure if you want to continue in the online gaming branch, but i, as many other MxO players, will continue to look out for another project wich has you involved."

Oh wow Not what I wanted to wake up to on a nice snowy day...
Thanks for everything you've done Rarebit and the sacrifices you've made for the game, thank you for sticking with us all this time, good luck in the future.
This thing makes cry Federer Q_Q
Jokes apart; all the best for you in the future, everyone knows this game will not be the same without you man, maybe is the end of MxO...or maybe not...
/salute

Rarebit,
We've had disagreements. We've had good times. We've had good discussions. We've had debates about the game.
I respect you and what you tried to do for the game, and only regret that the big guys in charge couldn't allow you, or the game, to completely live up to potential. My time helping you in LESIG from the very beginning until I resigned in late 2007 was frustrating at times, though still fun. I only wish we could all have had the game we truly wanted.
PM me with contact information if you'd like a job reference or to keep in touch.
Best of luck,
Michael "Foxxdie" N.
First of all - thank you!
I'm not really a veteran for this game since I'm playing only about one year, but I already had so much great moments in this game it's hard to even count. The story you were telling kept me interested more than I ever was in any video game, and I was eagerly looking forward to every big update to know where you'll take us next.
The more I learned though this one year about what you do for the game, the more I was astonished by your devotion and the amount of things you do for us, players. Honestly, even though I have not seen the "gold times"of the MxO, I still think you did an awesome job. And I am very much grateful to you for giving me personnally one full year of excitement. I needed this at the time I first tried this game man, and I'll never find the words to tell you how much you will be missed.
I don't know if anyone (if we really have someone) could take your place to keep the things you worked on alive. I guess we'll need that, too. To you, I wish plenty of good luck in whatever you're going to do next in your life. A childish part of me is so tempted just to say "please don't go!', even though I realise it would be a very selfish thing to say...
I will miss you.
Rare,
You were the number one reason this game remained interesting and exciting for so many subscribers after the shift to SOE. Your dedication to the game, the franchise, LESIG, and all subscribers is something I wish all developers had for their fans. I know I've had some of my most memorable gaming experiences in part to you. Despite any hardships you've had to see through with the community, all of your time and effort was and will remain to be appreciated in the eyes of MxO's community.
While it's unlikely, it would be great if you could keep in contact with the MxO community, whether it be through these forums or a blog somewhere far off.
Good luck, and keep on doing what you do, wherever you're doing it.

So many questions and nobody to answer them about this......
Rarebit, It's about time for you to give me the FM-1500 before you leave. Since overall. I came up with the idea for it.
You'll be missed Rarebit. Thank you for your hard work. We'll miss you.
Take Care.
