Well,
it wasn't anyone in particular who said it; it's just the general
assumption from a in-character point-of-view. The person leaving the
game's character mysteriously leaves or is considered dead.

So that means, from a professional stand-point, you weren't in Neo's
Cave you were just drugged by Agent Gray while he commited all sorts of
interesting sex crimes to your RSI. Poor little Globin. I told you your
mind is broken with that data!
