Lesson #302 on Patch days:

Always come to the forums first to see what other people are having problems with before trying these things yourself.

You think the first time they tested transporter technology in the Star
Trek universe that they used an actual crew?  Hell no, they
probably used a monkey, or Kirk's wife or something.

Glad to see you're about this AM.  I'm stuck at work and can't test this thing out until this PM.

And that's why you test it out by sending something cheap like a non-buffed pair of glasses =) I guess the server that deals with actually sending the messages is either broken or straining under the number of people trying to email at the same time.

Note: There is a known issue with trying to email items from your Code Archive. At this time, you can select items from your Code Archive to send, but the item won't be removed from the Code Archive, it won't be delivered to the recipient, and you won't be charged the cost displayed in the Email window. This will be fixed in an upcoming patch

We're aware of the issues players are seeing with email at the moment and are working to resolve them. Please do not use the in-game email system until further notice.

solves your problem?

You would think they actually test a new patch. :smileysad:

We had seen a similar issue in testing, but it was resolved. I'm unsure why it appeared again, but the team is looking into it.

The issue we saw before was a matter of the email headers not displaying--the email was actually there, but a player couldn't see it. If this is the case, then the emails you sent are still on the server, just not visible.

We're looking into the problem and will resolve it as quickly as possible.

Perhaps a slight difference in the internal server setup/hardware and the external ones causing it? Just a wild guess =)

I realize that the e-mail is broken right now, just thought I'd add another point that conflicts with Walrus' direction of use

Addressing Email

To address your email to a single player, just type that player's name in the To: line. Names are unique across all worlds, so you don't need to worry about adding the world name.

I tried to send an email to an alternate char on another server, and to get it to at least say mail sent successfully I still had to type in  Recursion.vitasenza.  Granted, it still didn't show up in my in box, just another little glitch in the system SMILEY
