In my time here I've come to understand how things work, or at least how they should work. I admit I've made some mistakes here myself. It is from my past experience here that I have decided to create this. This is a guide to decorum and format for Syntax Marketplace. I hope that many will learn from this and that new members will not make the same mistakes. Format 1. All thread titles should bare some indication of what is inside them. 2. It should always be clear whether you are buying or selling. If one of the following four terms isn't in the topic, it probably should be. "WTB, WTS, Buying, Selling" 3. When running an auction all terms of said auction should be disclosed in the original post. If there is a reserve that you won't be willing to sell under, you should indicate so there. It is also wise to state a point at which bids can start and minimum increments. 4. It is a good idea to change the title of a thread after transactions are completed. Simply adding Sold or Bought will accomplish this and keep people from getting their hopes up for something that isn't there anymore.
5. It is also perfectly appropriate to create Price Check threads if you are highly unsure of the value of an item. Another option is to use the forum search function. If you set it to only search the syntax marketplace forum with results descending based on post date, you will get the most recent relevant posts with the item you are looking for. 6. Don't make titles in ALL CAPS. Decorum 1. Do not enter a thread you did not create and attempt to sell the same item as is being sold. If you wish to sell the same item, the proper course is to create your own thread or pm people that you can see are interested. 2. If you want to buy the same thing as someone else is looking to buy, you may say so in their thread. It would be improper to offer more than them for said item unless you intend to share or make a copy for the OP. The point is to respect the OP. DISCLAIMER - These rules are subject to change at the whim and discretion of the OP. These rules are incomplete, but all are welcome to make suggestions for rules or argue against the current rules. Here is a link to the list of all codeable clothing (save target) as released by the devs. Here is a link to Mxo Resources clothing page. It's a great tool for searching for specific items or buffs.
New Tip - A way to search your clothing library. The downside is that it only works on name and not stats. Start a chatlog with /logstart, then type /codestructs, and then /logstop. Now go to the matrix online folder, then into the profiles folder, then into the folder with your account name. Inside there will be a file called chat. Open this file and use the Find tool under Edit from the toolbar. This is best if you are just looking for unbuffed items or things where stats don't matter. WARNING - If your computer is slow or your coding library is extremely large, the /codestructs command may crash Mxo.

If I might make a suggestion. Once you've sold/bought what you wanted, edit your original post and add [SOLD]/[BOUGHT] to the thread title. Saves people getting their hopes up.

Dictionary.com bare –verb (used with object) 8.to open to view; reveal or divulge: to bare one's arms; to bare damaging new facts. I do see what you are saying though.
