He's also in Reloaded if you look carefully. He's sitting next to Niobe and Ghost during the Zion Council scene. Look over Lock's right shoulder.

Tank was a great character i was pretty disapointed watching the second film to have heard he "died" i presumed it was the wounds but thought that was a pretty lame excuse so it wasn't till after that i went digging and eventually discovered what had happend. Link is still a pretty cool character but i prefered tank for sure...

As far as Sparks being in Links place goes...i'd have liked it if Sparks had longer on screen but i'd agree that their is a fine line for comedy, especially in films like the matrix which isn't about comedy.
