I clicked on the 'Jack into the Matrix' button, and I appeared at the 'South Vauxton (Central)' Downtown hardline, and I haven't even been to that hardline before. I haven't even been Downtown yet until then. When the coding went away, I could see the hardline was not synchronized yet, too. I probably shouldn't have, but I DID synchronize it just then. This has happened to me at least one other time, too. I can't remember which other hardline it happened with, and the only 2 reasons I remembered it happening at the South Vauxton (Central) hardline is cuz 1, it's the most recent hardline I had this happen at, and 2, it's the only hardline I have synched in the Downtown district.
So, is this a bug, or an exploit of some kind that needs to be taken care of? Also, if it happens to me again, should I fight off the temptation to synchronize it?
If the hardline you're trying to reach is too busy or if the area is down then you'll be bumped to the next available hardline wether you've synched it or not. It's not a bug or exploit, so feel free.

But he says he's never been to Downtown before. So the game dumped him in DT when he really wanted to go to Richland/Westview. Which boggles me, actually. Not really sure how it could dump you in front of a hardline you've never sync'd in a region/area you didn't click to go to. I mean, it would make SOME sense if it somehow confused Richland with DT and it dropped you at your chosen Richland hardline's coordinates except in DT (if that makes any sense), except it'd be extremely rare to have a hardline at those coordinates in another region as well.

Good point. That is weird.
Oh yea i've had this happen once or twice before, i think it does have some form of link to the busy area relocation. Except in this case it has some sort of false requirement basis that it just throws you to any old hardline. In fact I've been "relocated" using this method before and ended up inside a building a few blocks from where i should have been.. And that wasn't even when it was busy! Come to think of it i've also ended up under the map because of this o.O
Well, if it's not a bug, great. If it's ok that I synch a hardline I may randomly appear at, even better, I guess.
I think a redpill appears at a random hardline if he/she doesn't have a hardline specifically selected while in the Loading Area. However, I would think if that were true, you'd still end up at a hardline you've already synched. Anyway, I'm about to jack into The Matrix and test my theory.
Thanks for the input, y'all. I appreciate it.
I remember these bugs happents when the servers is overloadet or something like that..meh. Anyways i think program is set to place you somewhere in the City if all other locations fails or to find the first HL where you can log in. If that didn't happent you would crash i guess.
I remember getting here doing a LE..all 100 players was about to use the same HL at once lol.
I see your screenshot...
And i raise it...
I remember when that happened, i was totally freaked out i was in the sea...nobody else seemed that bothered mind.
So what do you do if you end up stuck somewhere, unable to move or get to a hardline?

Most people seem to take screenshots. =p
I think there's a /stuck command or something that does...something? You could also try getting a CSR there to rescue you by doing /ccr and filling out a report.
If you can get someone to invite you to their team, or invite them you your team, and they have Recall Mission Team or Recall Team Member and are in the same district as you, they could use that to teleport you to safety.
Eh probably a lot of people just run around in space for a while and then /suicide and then press the Reconstruct button, not that that's an ideal solution mind you.
btw, /stuck doesn't actually work. It will always tell you that you are not stuck. That actually amuses me a little. Like when I wound up inside of a wall a little ways up in the air after hardlining somewhere, and my system chat told me "You're not stuck." wut
Yeah I dont think /stuck ever worked.
I've used /stuck before, it does work but only in very specific circumstances.
We should just make /stuck a shortcut for /suicide.
