Forget this "Meet, go here, do this, come back, meet, event's over" format. I want to see supported Live Events, with code bombs, changes to monument textures and skyboxes, and NPC Spawns. Have someone come in as an Agent and pwn everybody.Even if you took 1 day out of the month, did it on Recursion, then Syntax, then Vector, and waited another 30 days to do it again, that would be enough.

Yes, something that you could look forward to as a fun thing to do with your online buddies would work Even if only 1 event per month that affected organizations or in game world places as Phrack said.
I believe the wise words of Christian Bale ring true here: "What don't you F***ing understand?"
SOE knows full well what the situation is in MxO, they put us here. Seeing how obsessive compulsive some people are about this game will not change the fact that they don't want to support it. If they wanted to support MxO, they would have had someone to replace Rarebit or have more communication with us. You people just need to accept these facts, and roll with it... or cancel your accounts. Because after playing MxO for several years now, everyone should know that nothing ever gets better it only gets worse. All the jelly beans in the world will not save MxO, all the QQing in the world will not save MxO, not even Neo can save MxO. SOE is keeping the servers open for a game that could have been cancelled years ago, so just be thankful for that. Or quit, and go to an MMO that better suits your needs.
Christian Bale said he was sorry for his statement.
Your point?

This is DEFINATELY doable. The problem is does SOE want to do this? I think we know the answer to that...

its comments like that , that cause the negative perseption of the game. that site of yours is just as bad, you just focus on whats wrong instead of showcasing the game. if you want a change then you need more subscribers. if you want more subscribers then your sales pitch shouldnt be heres a list of things we used to have while trying to pin the blame on lack of support. otherwise we would be in the club with Auto Assault, Tabula Rasa and The Sims Online long ago. who knows there is the posability that mxo operating costs might actually be getting subsidised by the station pass.

I could do without that comment as well Phrack. You don't play on Vector so you wouldnt know the ebb and flow of players who visit our home.
and...
OMG Tseng posted!!

That this is one of the most active threads on the forums speaks volumes.
It's not the Dev's fault. They's always done the best they could with the ever decreasing resources. God knows that's a tough line to walk (I certainly do as one of the few to see a bit more behind the scens than most).
It's not the whining players. They actually care. If they didn't they wouldn't.
It's not the players. They keep coming back (for the most part)
It is a case of a game that was never given the chance it deserved by a company that really didn't care enough to promote it properly. Non-americans were barely even permitted to play let alone encouraged. Heck MxO was never even released in Australia. It was a profit based decision, when what was needed was a decision based on belief. Belief in what this game could have become. Perhaps it was a poorly concieved business model, one truely non-viable in the long run.
The point of subscription length is not so much one of elitism... us players that have been around since the beginning certianly take it a little more personally than some. Who can blame us. We stuck through the thick and thin for a game and a story that really grabbed our imagination. We stayed and invested our time and more not because we payed, but because we cared and believed in a story and game that I still believe is and was truely epic in nature.
The day people stop complaining is the day they stop caring.
Everyone should fear that day.
As for me... well I stopped paying but I've never stopped truly believing that this community is one of the most amazing collection of hearts and minds I ever have been a part of... or ever will.
The friendships forged here extend well beyond the reaches of this game.
I feel sorry for any of the newwer players that have been denied such a significant experience.
Cut them some slack... we were them once.

I'd definitely love for something like this to be done. I believe the biggest problem with the old event setup was that it was too routine and mundane. The formulas could only get but so different and plus you have to factor in that holding an event every week day is just unnecessary. It's clearly what led Rarebit to burning out.
In the old Lith days, the events were generally one week a month with weekend finales involving story characters/big boss. It was advertised and accessible to everyone. From fighting off spawns to collecting the most tokens for our org, it was great fun.
Give me that and I'll be super happy. I'm sure we'd all be!
@ OP: I pay for my access to the game and to be able to post here, I think if I want to legitimately complain or state my mind about something, I will.

I don't rate myself as someone who is this forums most negative or outspoken so I'll continue to complain, whine, moan etc.. in the same way as I've always done before. If for some reason I get banned, then it'll be my fault and mine alone, I don't need anyone 'looking out' for me, especially from someone who's personal view of the value of their subscription hasn't fallen year after year.
I wasn't here in Beta, I got here just after the unlimit saga but I've participated in many LE's, player events, kept up with the continuing story etc.. I've also seen the departing of Chadwick, the attention of Walrus change from MxO to the Agency, the loss of the cinematics, loss of LE's and criticals departure of Rarebit etc.. and it's my personal feeling that the value of what we are paying for has decreased somewhat. I know that we are paying for access to the account, but the reason to access the account has waned and cost is starting to get too high.
