Everyone,
With the knowledge of the Machine responsibility for Cryptos' actions comes the realization that they will stop at nothing to destroy our work. The battlefield has changed. We will have to develop new tactics. Even our standard recruitment and Awakening procedures must be reexamined in the light of the danger that we now know confronts us.
We must be alert. With their Cryptos ploy ruined by Seraph, the Machines will surely try another approach to stop us. As we achieve greater success, we must be ready for greater perils, so that together we may overcome them.
~Shimada
Shimada, you fail to see that Cryptos was a threat to everyone.
A truce-ender, if you will. His radical tendancies and charisma could've done more damage than you could dream of.
You should thank us.
(And Veil was the psycho one anyway, don't expect the boys and girls in the Masks to be any nicer.)
Glad to see two new blues make there choice. It is a shame what happened to Marcus after he made his however but as a famous author once wrote "Death is but the next Great Adventure". May he travel it in peace.
You need to watch yourself Shimada. Also, seems like you...skipped something near the end there.
(( I think the fact that the death of Marcus isn't included is to show it wasn't counted as part of the event.. correct me if I'm wrong, Rarebit. Although there was some pretty fun and intense RP after that, it was pretty much an all EPN discussion, so it would all be dimissed by most IC (at least, characters who are anti-EPN.. which I'm guessing is the majority ) comments anyways, and we don't need more of the IC/OOC blurring problems we apparently had already on Recursion's World Discussion. ))
I am glad we were able to free minds, and that I fufilled my duty. I still wish I had been able to do more, but spending time regretting the past will distract us from the present. We simply can't stop moving forward, so we must follow our beliefs onward. Keep what we've learned in mind and continue the fight.
Shimada, Zeissman, Reposco, it was an honour and privilage to work with you and to bear on of our pills.
It's good to know we freed two more minds. Tell Kathy and Mitchell I'll see them soon.
((Great event, don't think I've been in for many screens.))
((That was a fun time. I really enjoyed it! What have I been missing out on for the past 2 years?! Thanks to Zeissman and Reposco for setting things up so nicely. And to Shimada/Rarebit for the open RP/LE.))
Choice is a *CENSORED* of a thing... There is so much danger in The Matrix we may not be aware of anymore. We have trained our minds so well to this point, studied The Matrix, the gangs, the City. Proficiency in one area too often reveals ignorance in another area. Richland, though not very dangerous for us, is still very dangerous for those bluepills. Oblivious, as Smith so aptly applied. Those businesspeople in neat suits Downtown are oblivious to the danger that is right next to them.
Morpheus knew that danger. He didn't know what Neo would choose. He believed so strongly that you can say he knew. But only the Oracle really knew.
Just because there is danger does not mean we can stop our work. There will always be risk, but the potential for greatness and success are too precious to concede to risk.
