Switches people, switches. Proc is right. The Station Launcher calls the MxO launcher and when it does, it uses the switches which tell MxO to bypass the loading area and any previous /jackout location and start at the last used hardline. I have ten icons in a quick launch bar, one uses a manual log-in and character selection and sends me to the Loading Area or a previous /jackout location. The others specify an RSI and auto-log the account and RSI and place it at the last used Hardline for that RSI. Since the /jackout command and a manual log-in are often used to re-enter areas which would take a long time to get to, like the bottom of a Hideout, this issue will have to be resolved before the Station Launcher is released. Otherwise, there will be a revolt of people who still expect to start in the Loading Area or last /jackout location.
Good thing is that they do know that this is an existing issue so they will be working on it (i reported this very thing a while back.)
It is a feature that they were thinking of having with the launcher and they thought they'd removed it in this beta but both ourselves, EQ and EQII are having this "auto load into game world" issue.
As far as I'm aware there's still a fair time this will be in beta because they want to have all things like this sorted beforehand (obviously).
If you do want to give them feedback they really, really, really go and say it to them on the boards here. Equally, if you wish to report a bug, pop it onto here.
Urgh!
As this is something different to the above information I'll pup this here.
Seems imageshack is being... well nasty to me about some of the images in my initial walkthrough of Station Launcher.
What I'll do is go through this whole thing tomorrow, clean up my image issues oh and then put some updates up about things now that the beta has been running for a little bit.
I probably should have posted this earlier.
We believe the issue of the station launcher not properly initializing the character profile folder (where to look for it) should be fixed. So the old location for all your character's hotbar setups and what not should now be back to normal.

Alright 9mmfu, thanks for the update!
I'm going to be having a proper look through any old issues that were posted up on here to see if they still exist or not but things certainly seem to be a hell of a lot smoother on it now to say the least
Still waiting to hear if the "big buddy list = major memory hog + major launcher lag" bug has been fixed. Can you close the Launcher once the game starts, to free up all the memory it hogs when you have a huge Buddy List?
As I've just bounced to this end of the internet world quickly, if you're just using it to launch your games, you can tell launcher to close itself down once it loads up your game:
1. Login to the launcher
2. Before clicking any game, click the small options button on the main screen
3. Click Preferences
4. In Category: Startup/Shutdown, there's a click box which says "Exit Station Launcher when I play a game"
That'll do what you're after.
Other things is I noticed on the main bug fix forums that things are still ongoing with the launcher, with changes coming all the time to solve problems and also how there's new features coming soon to it to, like how voice chat is going to be included with it as standard.
Anyway, there you go. Hope that helps
