Hey babe,

Where were you Wednesday night? Wow, did you miss out. Fortunately for you, I got some great photos of the whole thing. Well, I can show you some of them later. Anyway, for now I'll just let you in on a little description of my night that I know you're just dying to hear about.

I jacked in just to, you know, make sure people were keeping on task with stuff. We have a lot of work on our hands these days, as I'm sure you know, and people are always demanding my personal attention for this or that. It's like they can't get anything done without me!

Well, pretty soon I hear through the grapevine that our liaison officer, Merrit, is holding a big pow-wow, and has a bunch of news for our captains. Naturally, they'd expect me to be there too, so I hustled on over. Good thing, too, because when I got there things were pretty dead.

Merrit seemed to be doing a good job of keeping things in order for me, so I naturally just went right up and took over the stage. When dealing with big groups like this, you've got to go right up and take charge, or they'll just rip you to shreds. I showed them who was in charge.

Of course, they were all dying to know all about me, and what I'd been up to. They expressed a lot of concern for my well-being after that little rooftop ambush the General and his programs put on for Niobe. I was touched, let me tell you. I don't usually like to dwell on the perils I face daily, but they were so curious that I had to tell them about how I saved Niobe, and had to kill off a few of the General's programs in order to settle things down.

They also wanted to know about stuff like Cryptos' boxes, and I guess some costumed jerks that have been causing trouble for Tyndall, but I won't bore you with the details. Oh yeah, there were some Machinists there trying to spy on the meeting, but when they saw me, they hit the road pretty quick.

Well, the meeting wrapped up, and I invited everyone to come unwind with me at Club Janus downtown. Nice classy place. I know, it was pretty generous of me to invite everyone to spend some quality time with me off the clock, but I could tell that they really needed the kind of inspiration that only I could really give them. See, it's not that I was looking to relax--this was all work; gotta keep morale up. I should get overtime for this.

On the way to the club, I stopped off to see a guy I'd heard of, Sergeant Wynn. He's got a pretty sweet item, but can you believe that the **bleep** refused to sell it to me? Like Zion $info isn't good enough for him, or something! But no, he insisted on payment in "Skull Coins"; I guess we're back in the Middle Ages with the **bleep** barter system here. Well, I told him he'd better reconsider, and left him shaking in his boots.

I got to the pub, and the party started. There was a slight hiccup with one of the barkeeps not understanding me when I told him to put my drink on the tab--like he didn't know who I was! I set him straight pretty quick, and got nothing but respect from the staff for the rest of the night. I'm not sayin' they ought to fire that guy just on my account, but really, would you hire a moron like that?

There was some commiserating over Tyndall--poor thing--and then I decided to hit the dance floor. Some Machinists showed up and begged to party with me. I told them fine--we got that **bleep** Truce, right?--but that they'd better watch themselves. You bet your buns they were on their best behavior around me for the rest of the evening.

Then I hit the dance floor. I'm not gonna lie to you, there were some girls there, and naturally they all wanted to dance with yours truly, but let me tell you, when I get out there, I'm strictly professional. For instance, there was this poor confused Merv girl, didn't even know my name. I tried to straighten her out, even get her interested in Zion, but nothing doing--she was spaced out on cake or something, I bet.

As for our Zion women, well, it's hard to tell them no while still being polite about it, but like I said, I'm strictly professional when I'm out there doing my thing. It's a tough job sometimes.

In fact, I didn't waste any time getting down to the real business of the evening. Zion needed some special items for crucial research, and naturally, when they need something far out, they think of me. I briefed a select group of our best operatives there, and put them to work.

While they were off on their mission, I took advantage of the occasion to interrogate the lurking Machinists about that "case" we heard they'd let someone steal from them.

They swore up and down they didn't know anything, but finally one cracked and admitted that as far as they could tell, the General had made off with it. Can you believe it? That old bag? I've got to look into this. We can't have him holding out on us. That's not gonna fly with me.

And of course there were the usual questions. Everyone wants my opinion on the slightest things. But I try not to disappoint; I'd hate to think what our operatives would do without my guidance. Someone even wanted to know what I thought of that drip, the Kid. You can bet I gave them an earful.

Things were starting to drag, though. I hadn't heard back from the operatives I'd send out on those missions. They must have got lost without me able to be in constant radio contact with them. Some Machinists were still hanging around me, and really, their simpering was starting to get annoying.

Fortunately, my team finally delivered. I gave them pretty good pay for their hard work. It's a tough balancing act: you gotta act pleased, but always leave 'em wanting a little more. Just comes naturally to some of us.

In fact, it was the same operative, Symmetric somebody or other, who finished both of the missions first. He seems like an all right guy. I'm going to have to keep tabs on him; seems like he's got connections. Maybe a few too many--but he won't be putting anything by me, that's for sure.

Just as I was making sure the bluepills in the area weren't being harassed by our operatives--you've got to watch them like a hawk--wouldn't you know it, but an Agent showed up! They'd finally triangulated my position, I guess. Normally, I'd have just taken him down, but those bluepills could have been caught in the crossfire. It was a tough choice, but in the end, I had to try leading him away from all those innocent people. I took control of the whole scene, ordered my operatives to clear a path for him, and give him a nice clean charge at me. Of course, I didn't let him catch me. In fact, I moved so fast, I totally ditched the bugger before I even knew it. I tell you, these Machines are getting sloppy.

Still, it was obvious that they had my location narrowed down, and for everyone's protection, I had to jack out, even though they all begged me to stay.

It's a hell of a job, but **bleep** it, somebody's got to take care of things around here now that Morpheus and Neo are gone.

Thanks for the party last night, Anome. You really know how to have a good time, I'll give you that...you could probably give Merv a run for his money if you keep it up. Of course, that's only because that he and his lackeys don't have anything better to do - we're actually busy getting work done.

Either way, it was fun to relax and run a few missions for ya. Looking forward to getting down to real business. SMILEY

((More pics of Anome at the meeting and getting down with the sexy Zion chicas here.))

Umm... Anome, you seem to be delusional about the whole experience. You say "the Machinists ran" from the meeting, but it was, in fact, you who left. After you left, there were still 5 Machinists upon the stage in the church.

Also, you showed little "professionalism" whilst in the club. You were a drunk, blithering idiot... in fact, that explains the whole thing. No wonder why you're having these delusions, you were impaired!

Yeah, like that's really classified, Anome. Agent Pace has publically stated the General's connection to the theft. Perhaps if you didn't drink so much you wouldn't have these hallucinations or delusions of grandeur.

Your arrogance is getting on my nerves Anome. I take orders from you only because I have to and out of respect for Niobe. I can control my temper but your comments during operations are a bit too much at times. Our paths cross and I do my job, but keep it zipped. Noone likes a big headed jerk barking orders.

You say that, but look at this:

How does saying "Hold him off!" equal to "
ordered my operatives to clear a path for him, and give him a nice clean charge at me". You're nothing but a coward, and this proves it.

The wetting the bed comment about The Kid was classic.  I think I actually laughed when I read that at the time.  Looking forward to more nights like that one.

Like I insisted many days ago Symm, you have connections. Even this guy (who I would be "most joyed" to meet) backs me up. It's all just hush hush... SMILEY
