<b>Featured Changes</b>

    <strong><em>The Matrix Online </em>Story Continues in Episode 5.1!</strong>
    The 5.1 Storyline missions and cinematic are now available in game.
    The first 5.1 critical mission will be available as soon as the patch is live. The remaining four missions will roll out each following Thursday (6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22)at 1:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (0800 hours GMT).

    <strong>Data Node Changes</strong>
    The payoff for tapping a data node has quadrupled, and data nodes will no longer spawn so high that they are out of a top-level data miner's range.

    <strong>Ability Tree Modification and Central Storage Increase</strong>
    Spy, Coder, and Hacker combat styles are now fully separate Abilities. They will be added to your central storage if you have the Ability they were previously bound to at that level. The leveling and memory costs of these Abilities has been adjusted to the new scheme. All Write Code Ability codes are now capped at level 15. Because of this change, Central Storage space has been increased by 20.

    <strong>Title Ability Upgrade Teleportation Fix</strong>
    Active title-Ability upgrades now remain in place after teleporting from hardline to hardline.

    <strong>Storyline-Related World Changes</strong>

  • The Machines have taken the Morrell helipad from the General's commandos.
  • Helicopter flights are less frequent. The General seems to be on the defensive.
  • The anniversary event overlays have been removed. Nature flourishes in the parks once more!
  • Operatives report unusual hostile activity in Ueno.

     

<strong>Changes and Improvements</strong>

  • The old event reward items "Merovingian's Boon," "Glimmer of the Source," and "Zion Hardware Requisition" now all give a 10% buff. (Conflicts in Organization "winners" due to the server merge make it impossible to accurately grant differing bonuses on each world.)
  • All in-game cinematics have been converted to WMV format and no longer use the in-game engine to play. (Content of old cinematics has not changed.)
  • The double-tap rolling animations have been removed due to causing bugs and exploits while not conferring gameplay benefits.
  • System messages for using Firearms Skill or Martial Arts Prowess while Intensify Damage is in effect better explain that Intensify Damage is a better version of either Ability.
  • The re-use timer for Recall Mission Team has been reduced to 180 seconds.
  • Players will now be returned to the Self-Defense Style if another Style's requisite Ability is unloaded while that Style is currently active.
  • Some bugs with NPC setups that caused them to do too little damage have been fixed. (Damage output for NPCs is now more in line with the original CR2.0 plan.)

<strong>Bug Fixes</strong>

  • Fixed bug that caused the Q-Gun DOT damage to be higher than it should be.
  • Players are no longer prevented from initiating Interlock if their movement speed is reduced.
  • Mandarin no longer refers to Mockingbird as "my sister" in his mission "Flutter Away, Little Bird."
  • Changed the operative in the second phase of Violet's second mission to female to match Violet's description of her.
  • Negative Condition Sweeps and Antibiotics no longer remove the Side Roll Escape upgrade.
  • The upgrade from Distracting Blow now uses the correct icon.
  • Impart Invisibility is no longer craftable and is now bought back by Vendors at full price.
  • Unloading any of the Logic Daemon or Patch Daemon Abilities now destroys any active simulacra.
  • Blooddrinkers won't be spamming their special move so much any more (re-use timer has been increased).
  • Level 21-29 Hacker Abilities now require a red 'Hacker Object' frag instead of a red 'Hacker Interface' frag.
  • Breakable root and pacify abilities are no longer broken by removing clothing or upgrades that increase max health.
  • Fixed several issues related to hiding discipline titles on disguised players.
  • Nefarious' Research Notes are no longer Singleton items and can be split like other items.
  • The animation for Absorb Simulacra now uses the correct Ability icon in it.
  • The chat message for Upgrade Attack now correctly states that it increases Viral Accuracy. (The Ability actually increased Viral Accuracy, but the chat text stated it increased Viral Damage.)
  • The error message for attempting to use a health or antibiotic pill while sitting no longer mentions "grants".
  • The Concealment Grant Ability now uses the Rifles Style. (Prevents the effect from breaking when using Concealed Shot.)
  • The description for Canny Strike no longer mentions Stun. (The Ability was never supposed to Stun an opponent.)
  • Upgrades from the Utility Coder Ability are now indefinite. (Durations have been removed.)
  • Fixed bug that caused Mobius Code to only restore 1 point of health while using Block Tactics.
  • Wounding Throw now actually wounds. (Fixed a bug the prevented Wounding Throw from causing damage.)
  • Minor Repairs no longer has a Buffer cost or re-use timer. (Only has a memory cost, which is in line with other Passive Abilities.)
  • The Collector Horace no longer mentions the Myers Special Sniper Rifle in his trade window.
  • The Shield Jamming Device now appears as "Shield Jammer" instead of "Tool" in the Action panel.
  • The description for Crippling Throw now lists its Root duration.
  • Bug causing many contacts to be misnamed by Operators in mission text has been fixed.
  • The invisible TV set has been removed from the Tutorial.
  • Text error in the Withdraw Tactic mouseover has been fixed.
  • Bug that allowed the Sneak effect to remain after changing clothes while using a Disguise Ability has been fixed. (Changing clothes while Disguised now breaks both the Disguise and Sneak effects.)
  • Fortify Simulacra 1.0 now has an appropriate description.
  • Players now get a failure message when Decompiling fails to extract bits from an object.
  • Bug that prevented movement downgrades from affecting players with an active Sneak effect has been fixed. (Movement downgrades now apply to sneaking players.)
  • The 2D and 3D icons for the Disable Device Tool now match.
  • Bug causing attacks under the Hacker Style while using Power Tactics to only cause 1 point of damage has been fixed.
  • Disarm Traps is no longer craftable and is now bought back by Vendors at full price.
  • The Write Code cost of Cartwheel Escape has been reduced to match other Abilities at the same complexity level.
  • Enhanced Dodge can now be activated while Hyper Sense, Hyper Dodge, or Hyper Block are active.
  • The description for Steady Aim now inlcuded the IS drain while the Ability is active.
  • Bug that prevented some Abilities from activating properly while using a Free Attack has been fixed. (The Ability will go off and the Free Attack will resume on the next round.)
  • Invisibility now has an appropriate description in its mouseover window.
  • Chat messages now appear when a weapon's proc effect succeeds. (Blinded, enraged, etc.)
  • A bug that caused some Coder Abilities to require the wrong fragment type has been fixed.
